This is the perfect time to buy out his contract. His buyout is $100K - if his contract is brought out this week, October, November, and December salary payments would be included in that $100K. Since JSU has to pay him for those last 3 months ($22,084.00 per month), the total for 3 months will be $66,252.00. There you go - $100k less $66,252 is $33,748. Therefore, JSU would have to only pay an additional $33,748 to get rid of him. Then JSU can take it time to find an experienced proven head coach that can run a successful football program since we are now paying a base salary of $265,000.
