"Leader of Kings"
I don't see Tenn State coming. Still not seeing the benefit of Langston or Skegee. I actually think the SWAC should keep the same schools for right now.
TU no but Langston a definite yes

Maybe we can convince Fort Valley State to join, and capture the Atanta media market
Fort Valley State is an interesting choice. What is their fanbase like. Them or Morehouse seem like appealing choices.
Fort Valley is further from Atlanta than Alcorn is from Jackson St.

Boy you guys and your Southernese logic...guess the overall record never really matters with you guys its an asterisk behind everything..:smh:
Fort Valley State.....hell Nah!

I would consider Morehouse but not Fort Valley. Years ago, FVSU would have been an interesting choice but not now. The SWAC was going to take Morris Brown but their financial troubles started years before the ball finally droppend and the SWAC was hesitant to vote them in. The big boys expand for markets. I think the expanding into the ATL market would be great for the SWAC. Leave Tuskegee, Langston, etc.. where they are. The only problem with Morehouse is that they don't have women's sports to balance out the conference.
Plus, Langston: Oklahoma City (45) ... being in a unique position (only football FCS school in Oklahoma if they move up) in a market that size and possibly Tulsa, Langston could find resources and sponsors to help them get over that hump
Now Langston would also give the SWAC ins to the Tulsa market (61); plus opening up some possibilities in playing in Kansas City (31) and those other listed markets from the earlier post.
Information regarding media market size comes from http://www.stationindex.com/tv/tv-markets
So basically you strong forces have 1 champions apiece in 15 years or an aggregation of 2 championship with 30 attempted years between you all. You guys are ruling your respective conferences with an iron fist. :emlaugh:

You know you would not be able to say that JSU is not a force in the SWAC without a straight face.
SCG Championships by the numbers
1) Grambling 6
2) Southern 3
3) AAAMU 1
4) PVAM 1
5) Bama State 1
6) Texas Southern 1
7) UAPB 1
8) JSU 1
9) MVSU 0
10) Alcorn 0
:noidea: :noidea:
Let's think outside the box, let's add University of West Alabama, University of West Florida or Ouachita Baptist University
those schools only appeal to the region....
like the NBA, the Western half of the league is where the growth patterns are at...
its better for us to stand pat at the end of the day than adding more D2 schools....
 :emlaugh: (those were my sentiments.......Really?) :emlaugh:
Actually we were suppose to play them for homecoming last year and their fans complain about it so much they pulled out.
