has always been like that - that's why its politics but it can work both ways also - you can be at a place where no one cares and keep getting mediocre results as a whole and some boards will step in

everyone thinks they know football unfortuately

If you pay close enough attention, you'll notice that some coaches just want a steady paycheck. No different than other professions. Beating FCS PWIs is something usually done by coaches who could and have worked in those conferences, and it takes effort and more importantly, a coaching staff respected by the entire football community.

Notice how we stopped playing UNA? That's why. It wasn't because some white police officer gave a dirty look LOL.

Valdosta is known as TITLETOWN due their tradition in high school and college football. PV is going to be little different for him.

You do know he has coached in the swac before right? Also, he got pv out here in these N. And E. TX streets like I've never seen before. He ain't playing no games. I can assure you of that.

I think you are misunderstanding what Im saying… PV aint to D1 what Valdosta is to D2. Valdosta is a large D2 school… and every football coach wins there. He didnt take over a losing program and make them great… it was already there for him. IMO He didnt do nothing that any head coach in the conference couldn’t have done.

He was paid to WIN conference games then right? Maynor just didnt sugar coat ish… he says what was common sense… every coach in the conference is paid to win SWAC games…. Aint nobody getting fired for losing out of conference games and winning SWAC every year.

He would have been celebrated if he won the SWAC…. He wouldn’t have been fired if he won the SWAC games and championship…. Why are you making this so difficult?

Winning the SWAC and winning SWAC games are two different things. Either way, there’s obviously different standards around SWAC as far as winning is concerned. We can agree to disagree
 
Brian Kelly and other coaches do all that dancing and other things, but still don't get some of those player. Coach Jackson is drawing a line in the sand, either you want to be at PV for who they are, sports wise and academically, or you don't. There are more players than available spots, so it makes sense not to wastes resources on those that value all this symbolic extra stuff.
 
Bubba McDowell won several Southland games but that didn't matter lol

but also the recruits are still taking photo shoots at PV like everywhere so it aint like their not doing something also - bottom line is can you offer NIL off the top for the game changers and if you get a transfer from FBS that has more than a year of eligibility are they using you for film to move back up?
