The parents are part of the problem. Most them are looking at the under table offers their kids are getting and most time they don't even touch the field until their junior or senior year. I have a co-workers son that finished about 4 years ago. He was set on Alcorn or Jackson St. until the 11th hour MS State comes in with an offer. The day after him signing with state she made the comment it was just too good of an offer to turn down.Just don’t like them having our schools in their Top 5s for clout while not even serious about coming.
And a good bit of them kids directly benefit from the education our schools gave their parent(s).
So a lot of times it's true that our programs are not heavily recruiting them because the schools and parents are not letting them in.
