No OC did well under Hughes. They were switching QBs, QBs were getting injured, they were putting freshmen QBs in and burning red shirts...it was a mess. I'd say Hayes is the most solid QB they've had.

Point was, Hughes had to get advice from folks for his staff. Which to me isn't a good sign.
 



Man that was not a good JSU team out there Saturday smh.

Need to hurry with the hire, gotta get those recruits to stay committed.
 
Is it just me, or is anybody else having issue posting Lol. Seem like I've been bottle necked/slowed down by the site owner dude, lmaoo. In any sport at this level, you MUST beat your rivals. If you don't, you probably won't last.

It isn’t a maybe. Every job in the country — at all levels — is filled by either a cat who is a rookie head coach or someone who had previous experience as a head coach somewhere else.
 
So,

The early signing period is Dec. 19-21. JSU's season ends Nov. 17.

Contact period with recruits begins Nov. 25, with the quiet period on Dec. 16 and dead period from Dec. 17-Jan. 10. Then contact resumes from Jan. 11-Feb. 2.

There's time for Jackson State to get their ducks in a row and hope they can have a person in place so they can at least get a couple of guys in December to sign early and/or get some transfers. The real test comes in January.

The new coach probably will keep a couple of folks from the existing staff around to get them through recruiting, then complete their staff ahead of spring drills.

Yes, actions of the previous Administration! Early indications are that the current Administration will make well vented hires in the Athletic Dept to make sure that monies that we do have that are spent on Head Coaches are spent wisely
and are not a reflection of wishful thinking.
