TN State Will Be Playing ? In The JMC

JMC is always Labor Day Weekend..... and Texas SO and PV always play in the Labor Day Classic.
 



I talked with T. Lawrence, after the bball game - she told me TSU will be playing P V - Sept. 7 for the JMC. Maybe P V, need the $$$$.
 
You should have let me know you were going to the basketball game.. I was there sitting in my usuall spot on the front row across from the visiting basketball team, talkin major ISH to Morehead State.
 
This is a good move for PVU. I always wondered why the Labor Day Classic still exists. Promotion of the game is so bad in Houston only about 20K people have attended in the last few years.
 
This is going to be a BORING John Merritt Classic.... PV isnt going to bring any fans, if TSU aint payin for the band, they are not coming either, PV football team is going to get KILLED. SMH TSU could have done better than PV. What happenned to Morris Brown?

You are right, my bad.... so the JMC has been moved from Labor Day Weekend, I guess. Looks like I will be in Gboro and will miss this JMC. I dont want to see no PV (no disrespect)

I normally sit across from the visiting team - second level below the bleachers. I will be at the next game {men}.


PV, might bring a good team - but we will still win. A few years back they had a alumni chapter here.
 
lmao naw that wasnt me, but I know who you are talking about... I sit more directly in front of the visiting team on the front row, so I was to the right of the dude that kept harrassing #24. I dont miss any home games,so I will be there for the rest of them.
 
who died and made Tennessee State the powrhouse all of a sudden?

All we're going to do is change the decals on our helmets to Murray State or whatever OVC school you all usually bow down for and we'll win. Plus we'll have more white boys on the teaam to really make you feel at home

bandfan trust me... this game is going to get UGLY. Just look at the scores from all of the HBCU teams that TSU played this past year.
 
we're used to it. After playing the McNeeses, Northern Iowas, Illinois' and GSU's we're not awed.
 
If the band goes, I'll go. I'm not going to Nashville to see 1 band. But since Prof is from that area, he surely can't turn this down.

I'm going to book an early ticket so if I back out I won't lose anything.

Good one! You can change helmets, uniforms or whatever, but you'll still give it that 'ole PVAMU spirit! ;)

BF...... i just saw where PV was added to AAMU's schedule this year. See if PV's administration/band director can make up for the trip that didnt happen in 99.

Tenn. State plays in the Ohio Valley Conference. None of those
schools bring any fans when they come to Nashville. PV has a
Marching Band that will generate more ticket sales than any of
Tenn. State Ohio Valley Conference opponents. :idea:
 
Tenn State has a fine tradition and is an old rival, but you can bet your azz that the GMen are gonna whip the isht out of them in Las Vegas. Yall just don't realize what the SWAC is in for...the Decade of Dominance began in 2000...yall got at least 8 more years of getting destroyed by THE ICON OF BCF

In 2010, we might have decided to go as an independent and sign a lucrative deal with ABC or some national network for our games. We're trying to stick around to save BCF.

You would be suprised....

First of all NOBODY here knows anything about PV's marching band. SO the Storm will not generate any ticket sales. All people know is that PV is the black school that didnt win a game for about 10 years. It will have a DECENT turnout just because it is the first home game, but that is all. It wont have more than 20,000 there.

I am not into predicting the future, BUT i will promise you that TSU would have played GSU last year, TSU would have killed GSU, NO SMACK INTENDED. TSU had too much offense for GSU.
