January 9, 2002 -- A Chicago private eye tailed Michael Jordan for four years before his wife filed for divorce Friday, The Post has learned.
The P.I. followed the hoopster from Chicago to Florida and back, spotting him in public places with at least six woman, a source close to his wife, Juanita, told The Post.

The detective?s legwork came to light after Juanita filed papers against her husband of 12 years, one of the richest athletes in sports.

"She said, ?Enough already,' " said Juanita?s pal Stella Foster, a Chicago Sun-Times columnist, when asked why Juanita threw in the towel.

Citing irreconcilable differences, Juanita, 42, filed for divorce from the 38-year-old hoops legend Friday in Waukegan, Ill., near the sprawling, 25,000-square-foot Highland Park mansion she shares with her three children - Jeffrey, 13, Marques, 11, and Jasmine, 9.

Since Jordan began playing for the Washington Wizards last fall, he has been living in the couple?s apartment in Chicago?s Old Town section, north of The Loop.

Juanita is seeking custody of the kids, possession of the mansion, an "equitable" share of their marital property, and a "fair and reasonable sum" for temporary and permanent maintenance.

Jordan would be granted visitation rights with his children.

Jordan had little comment.

"When you have personal issues, sometimes work is a great avenue to deal with it and move on. Things will work out in the long run," he said after practice yesterday.

His agent, David Falk, issued a statement for the couple yesterday:

"It is our hope that the media and the public will understand and respect our family?s desire and need for privacy during this difficult period in our lives."

Ironically, the romance of Juanita Vanoy and Michael Jeff Jordan began with a paternity suit.

Juanita met His Airness at Bennigan?s restaurant in Chicago in 1988, during his second season with the Bulls.

She got pregnant during the relationship and slapped him with a paternity suit.

"He fought her tooth and nail. She wanted to serve him with papers as he walked on the [basketball] court," said the source close to Juanita.

But the basketball superstar suddenly did an about-face that nullified the paternity suit.

He whisked Juanita off to Las Vegas to marry him. They tied the knot in the Little White Wedding Chapel on Sept. 2, 1989.

In the years that followed, Jordan earned much of his fortune, estimated at $398 million by Fortune magazine.

He bought the Highland Park mansion and a downtown Chicago apartment.

He buys custom-tailored shirts - monogrammed with "Michael" or "MJ" - at $100 a clip, and owns a private jet.

Last April, he used the jet to fly his family down to the Turks and Caicos Islands for a vacation.
 
She may be a winch, but at least she wasn't STOOPID!!

I couldn't agree more... if he didn't do anything then she would have any evdience... one of the local radio stations here report that Juanita can get up to 90% of his Airness's assets:eek:

The Jordans didn't sign anything prior to tying the knot. They did sign an agreement 3 years after getting hitched.
 
Maybe yall ain't read the article ... Juanita was one step from being a babymomma her dayum self.... Why Mike married her is beyond me... He shoulda listened to his mama....

When you marry a trick you get trick actions. They meet. She get pregnant immediately. She sue for child support. He fights. Then they get married. WTF??? Did I miss something???

Mike brought it all on himself. Can't blame nobody but himself.

As for that radio report and her getting 90%, that sounds kinda crazy. They have a post-nuptial agreement. She gotta prove that that agreement is seriously unfair to her, first. Well, maybe not in Illinois. But any equitable split won't give her 90%.

It's really funny how a woman gets called out of her name when she does something to man that you other men don't think is right, but none of you seem to see a problem with all the isht that Mr. MJ has and is doing to his wife and family.

But that's the society we live in....as long as a mofo is making some cheese and is in the spotlight, he's GOD right? Now, it's sooooo wrong that Juanita CYA'd huh? MJ did what he wanted to do and now he's suffering the consequences and repercussions of the choices that he made.

I called her azz a trick because that what's there beginning sounds like to me. Any other woman that meets a super rich guy, gets pregnant immediately and then sues for support is looked down upon. Why not Juanita??? That's what she did. Trapped his azz.

After they got married. The isht was all on Mike. He was stupid. He got caught. Now he's about to pay.

But all that still don't change what appears to me to be a clear and obvious TRAP, by "Saint" Juanita. To me there's two stories. Her trife azz trapping Mike. Then his dumb azz getting caught up.

Well Mike could have worn a condom and she would't have gotten pregnant and he could have married someone else. He didn't have to marry her. He could have just paid child support and stayed single since he was acting like he was....just because man makes money doesn't mean he shouldn't honor his commitment to marriage. I must say Jordan is getting what he deserved. There's no excuse for cheating on a woman (and vice versa). If you can't be faithful, then get the hell out of the relationship.

That book was written a thousand years ago and rewritten by millions of people. There is no such thing as trapping a man in this day and time. With all MJ big bucks, he couldn't spend $5 not to get a little Mikey? Hey as they said you lay, you pay.

And why shouldn't Juanita get an equitable share? Just because she took care of the kids, stayed home and raised them, didn't have an "outside" career, she has no value? Everybody can't be in the streets with big careers. Kids are really jacked up then. She WILL get her share and she should. She played her role and he played his.
 
Why is there an ASSumption that Juanita is just a meek, humble, saintly, stay at home mom who aint never done anything wrong in her life and MJ is just some big bad wolf who treated her and the kids so wrong?

I'd be like, "brother, make sure you don't bring home nothing no ointment won't cure, make sure ALL MY CHECKS CLEAR, and have your 304's call your private line so they won't interrupt my conversations."

The gold digger found a fool and took advantage. How bout that??? Since he can't be trapped. My point was, after I heard of the circumstances of their marriage, it only points to the not so uncommon female seeking to sink her claws into a rich guy.

And like I already said. Once they got married, it's all on Mike. He messed up. Maybe she did, too. We know about Mike. Juanita will be well off for the rest of her life without Mike. But I seriously doubt if she gets 90%. She'll get what's equitable. And I understand that that post nup was pretty solid. Iron clad. That's prolly why she had Mike tailed. Maybe there's a clause in there if she catches his arse cheating, the agreement can be voided.

And who said she shouldn't get an equitable share???

and none of us really know what all those
faults are. One thing is for sure, she wants out.

Who are we to pass judgement on whether she
is justified in making that decision?
