The best of Herman Cain

The attacks have really started since he moved up in the polls - it will be interesting to see how long it will take for them to tear him down. Its looks like the republican establishment has determined that Mitt will win. Bachmann was in the lead, then they attacked her, then Perry (who is running for the President of Texas - I dont know who is advising him, but that person needs to be fired), now Cain. Cain needs to be careful and not get labeled as 9 9 9. This is good to get attention, but it would be good for him to use the media to state some of his other positions - otherwise they will turn him into a cartoon which they are trying to do.

JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) — Herman Cain is firing up the crowd at a tea party rally in this West Tennessee town when the generator powering his sound system shudders to a halt.

Cain stands awkwardly for a few moments then suddenly begins to sing. Slowly at first but gaining in speed, he belts out "Impossible Dream" in the rich baritone he's honed in church choir.

"You know, when it's your rally, you can do what you want to do!" Cain says as he finishes with a raucous laugh. The 500 or so supporters who have jammed the strip mall parking lot to hear the Republican Party's newest star speak roar their approval.

Momentum restored, Cain launches into a pitch for his signature 9-9-9 tax plan, and the crowd is right there with him, chanting 9-9-9 along with the Georgia businessman.

The 65-year-old's improbable campaign for the presidency is all about momentum right now. How does he maintain the wave he's riding in recent polls that have catapulted him from an also-ran in the GOP race to the elite top tier?

The problem with most americans, especially the poor is education about money. We as a society dont talk about money or demand that our children are educated about money.

There is nothing stopping any of them from picking up a phone requesting to speak to a small business counselor...nothing. The problem that most Americans have is no determination, no drive, no grit, no optimism, no positive attitude, no self motivation, no self education, no self blaming, and etc. Kennedy said it best, stop looking for the government to do for you and start doing for yourselves. If you want something in this country, then stop complaining and start putting a plan together move towards that goal. Yes, you may stumble a little, or even fall, but that doesn't mean that you remain on the ground crying, complaining, and discouraged because of an obstacle. If something is in your way, then move it, go under it or go around it, but don't give up. I'm going through this at this moment with the entertainment industry. I received some bad news from a top executive at NBC on my birthday this past Tuesday, but I'm not going to let that stop me. If it be the will of God, I'm going to launch into the industry with my TV proposal and I'm so close that I can taste it. I'm very close. I just have to keep grinding cause hard work gone pay off.

Sarah Palin: You Could Say Herman Cain Is the Flavor of the Week

I think Palin is exactly right in this video. People can relate to Herman because he's not your regular politician.

You know what Cain's 9-9-9 plans boils down to? Raising taxes on everyone but the rich.
Someone with an income of $500,000 — all of it earned, none of it from investments, and all of it spent — save $57,500 under the Cain plan, a reduction of 39 percent. Those with investment income would save considerably more.

In contrast, a household making the national median income of $50,000 would pay $1,850 more under the 999 plan, an increase of 26 percent. A household with an income of $30,000 would pay $2,280 more, or an increase of 73 percent.

Royal Blue, Cain is just like the rest of them, bro. They all pander to get votes (or that radio show or that TV show or that book deal in case they decide not to run for president).

Bascially the lower and middle class giving the rich a raise just because they are rich, Backwards and dumb!

Unfortunately there is - ignorance - many dont know what they dont know. Thats just one of the reasons - there are many more, most of them come out of a lack of education.

I am sorry to hear that you have received bad news - I pray for the best for you.

Does Cain's 9-9-9 tax plan add up?

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain's plan to create a national sales tax would hurt retailers, threaten economic growth and shift the tax burden onto the middle class and poor, tax experts and business groups said.

Cain’s so-called 9-9-9 plan, which would replace the current tax code with a system of three separate taxes of 9% each, has boosted his popularity among voters. The former chief executive officer of Godfather's Pizza has surged in polls in recent weeks, and a Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll released this week put him in the lead.

Tax experts and business groups interviewed don’t like his tax plan as much as voters. They said it would shift the burden to middle-income and poor families and would hurt sales across the economy, at least in the short term.

You can say that about any human being, that they're just like any other human being. No one is perfect. Everyone has flaws. Even the righteous leaders in the bible had major flaws. This is nothing new. The point that I'm making is that we have candidates to choose from and we're suppose to select the best candidate with the best plan...spiritually, civilly and financially. Herman Cain has the better plan at this point in time. This is why rich, middle and poor folks love him. They call it common sense. He's a simple man and most people enjoy dealing with simple people because you know what you're gonna get.

True, no one know everything. This is where effort, research and hustle comes into play. All of these things rely on the individual.

Thanks for your encouragement! God bless you.

Some folks forget this man is a hustler, mathematician, business man and multi-millionaire who's been there and done that. I'll take my chances with Herman Cain's 9-9-9 plan.

No. Meaning
1 Unity; New beginnings
2 Union; Division; Wittnessing
3 Divine completeness and perfection
4 Creation; The world; Creative works
5 Grace; God's goodness; Pentatuech (first five books)
6 Weakness of man; Manifestation of sin ; Evils of Satan
7 Resurrection; Spiritual completeness; Fathers perfection
8 New birth; New beginnings
9 Fruit of the spirit; Divine completeness from the Father

Royal Blue, you're talking right. Keep saying what you're saying.

I'm exhausted and don't have the energy to join this conversation, but, if I did, I'd jump in on your side with both barrels blazing.

We're talking fundamentals here.

Our people have been conditioned to believe they are victims and cannot compete with others in the world. Heck, some of the men on this page don't even believe that we should strive to do anything with our lives. Like there's some sort of religious superiority in settling for whatever bone is thrown our way.

It's sad that educated Black folks don't see the opportunity here. It's sad that they don't see how welfare, progressive tax rates and other handouts of the government have served to cripple the Black community rather than help it. The brainwashing of our people has been thorough and complete.

I can go on, but I'm freakin' tired ....

So 90% of black Americans have been brainwashed and the other 10% have not. What a winning argument.

Winning argument or not, it's right.

The popularity of an opinion does not make it right.

At one time, most people in the world thought the earth was flat ....

Jesus Christ was crucified ... that doesn't mean he was wrong.

Yes, absolutely, the majority have been thoroughly brainwashed as represented by en masse voting for the Democratic party despite the affects their policies have had on our people.

But, this discussion is not about party. Or philosophy even.

This is about something much deeper ... something intrinsic. A fundamental truth, if you will. :)

Thanks, I know ya'll out there. Save your energy Bro, because if it's the the will of God that Herman Cain win the Republican nomination, then it's going to be a bulldog fight within the black community. I just thank God that one of our very own HBCU brethren has a legitimate chance to become president of this great nation. This will be the shinning moment for all of our HBCUs. I have no doubt that most of our true black conservative Christian preachers will encourage the flock to support Herman Cain. Conservative black democrats will no longer be tortured for voting Republican due to race. Free at last, free at last, Thank God Almighty we'll be free at last.

That's BS and you know it. We're talking politics here. The electorate (black or white) decides elections and 10% of either group agreeing on an opinion does not make a winner. Black conservatives calling moderate and liberal black Americans brainwashed guarantee they remain isolated in the political culture. If that's the way they choose to remain...so be it. Truth!

Blacks would be more willing to support the GOP if their ideologies and agendas weren't so disparaging to the poor and minorities. By no means are the Dems much better.

However, it's tough to get behind a Herman Cain when the very thing he's riding his campaign on was found to increase taxes on more than 80 percent of families and individuals.

Not to mention his ties to the Koch brothers are very concerning as well.

Au contraire, mon frere.

At one point in this country, segregation was the law of land. The "political culture" that you so stridently defend dictated it and most people accepted it. But, thank God some people had the courage to see what was true and to fight for what was true despite the beliefs of the people and the political culture. Those courageous and insightful 10% led a groundswell that resulted in you and I not having to sit on the back of a bus today.

The same truth that was at the core of that movement is very relevant to this issue.

The fact that so many of us have been brainwashed to not see that truth and to accept the current "political climate" does not change what is true.

:)
