CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A West Virginia lawmaker recorded video of himself and fellow supporters of President Donald Trump storming the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, triggering calls for his resignation.

In the video by Republican Del. Derrick Evans, later deleted from his social media page, he is shown wearing a helmet and clamoring at the door to breach in after Congress met for an expected vote to affirm Democrat Joe Biden's election victory.

“We’re in! Keep it moving, baby!” he said in a packed doorway amid Trump followers holding flags and complaining of being pepper sprayed. Once inside, Evans could be seen on video milling around the Capitol Rotunda, where historical paintings depict the republic’s founding, and yelled “no vandalizing.”

Lawmakers from other states also traveled to the nation’s capital to protest the results of the Electoral College on Wednesday. It’s unclear if any other elected official forced their way into the U.S. Capitol. Pennsylvania state Sen. Doug Mastriano helped organize a bus ride to protest in Washington, D.C., and said he left the Capitol area after the eruption of violence, which he called “unacceptable.” A Democratic colleague called for his resignation nonetheless.

I am no fan of dg, but this is really good!

Draymond Green delivers powerful comments about pro-Trump Capitol mob: 'They're [expletive] terrorists'

Among those in the sports world who spoke out either to reporters or on social media about the pro-Trump rioters who breached the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday was Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.

After a 108-101 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Green spoke candidly to reporters about his reaction to what happened in Washington D.C. earlier in the day.

“Storming into a building and busting out windows and carrying podiums and all that other stuff, that’s not a protest, that’s a terrorist attack,” he said. “Stop describing those people the same way you describe someone who just stand there and make a chant and say, ‘We want justice, we want peace.'”

“Stop using the same word,” he continued. “It’s disrespectful, it’s ridiculous and it’s shameful to keep calling them protesters. They’re not [expletive] protesters, they are [expletive] terrorists.”

As rioters stormed the Capitol, Trump was reportedly telling people he was glad Perdue and Loeffler lost their Georgia Senate seats, calling them not loyal enough

President Donald Trump spent Wednesday telling people he was happy that the Republicans David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler lost their Senate races in Georgia, the New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman reported.

In Georgia's Senate runoff elections held this week, Perdue lost to Jon Ossoff, while Loeffler lost to Raphael Warnock, according to Decision Desk HQ and Insider.

"The president was telling people today that he was happy Loeffler and Perdue lost," Haberman tweeted. "He said they didn't defend him enough."
A mob of Trump supporters stormed and ransacked the US Capitol building on Wednesday, and multiple reports say Trump was highly resistant to condemning them.

They just showed the world how easy it is to infiltrate our capitol. The Capitol Police were supposed to shoot to kill at that moment.

As I told people....a black man can sell cigarettes outside a store and be shot....but white men storming the capitol are invited and nothing happens.

WHITE PRIVILEDGE

How many people were arrested during the BLM marches.
