Wow! C-Leb, I was not expecting that. Any insight on what brought TSU athletics to the decision?
According to what I read on ESPN, they said they withdrew because they couldn't field a competitive team with all of those suspensions.
"After deliberate consultation and review with our conference office regarding the incident that transpired on March 7, 2015, we've come to the decision that our women's basketball team will not participate in the upcoming 2015 SWAC Women's Basketball Tournament, as we would not be able to successfully field a competitive team due to the number of suspensions," Texas Southern athletics director Charles McClelland said in release announcing the school's decisiion.

Sad situation. Hope they all learn from it and move on.
To show our student athletes they will be held to a higher standard. I applaud the decision.
I know each one of these young ladies and if it happened all over again they would have handled it differently but unfortunately there's no reset button to take us back to 13:00 left in the second half.
I didn't see the original post sorry about that.Yeah, that statement was the same one included in the link posted in this thread.

Yeah, it's more like conceding defeat than teaching a lessonIf they made this decision prior to any input from the conference office that is one thing, but to basically say that they won't be competitive so they withdraw? How is that something we should be applauding?
How is that self imposed? You canned play an NCAA basketball game with 2 players.Self -imposed punishment . Handling it with class. Salute
