Either the jsu punter is no good or it's the rain. Right now, I don't think he is a good punter. They may as well go for a bomb if he gonna kick like that...:shame:

That was the worst display of special teams I have ever saw in my life. Comegy is waaaayyyyyyyyyyyy overated. Bell might be a better coach.

Why does ESPNU have the SWAC games looking like a spin off of BET? The commentators didnt know the players names, the camera was faked out several times, the feed from the cameras really, really SUcked. I think ESPNU IS a spinoff of BET.

Hey, its Charlie Neal and Eddie Robinson, Jr. It is an All-SWAC crew.

Peace...

I don't know how well I would have been able to get up for an empty stadium. JR, Big Thunder, etc..., ya'll remember how folks still went to the games in the '80s. No, Mumford didn't have 24,000 in the rain, but it would have 15,000 in rain gear. The woodwinds would pack their horns and the rain party started. The crowd would be dancing and singing with us. It was fun. Now, you know SU was loaded with talent back then, but you can see the records and know how many championships we were winning then. But, the fans still game out and it wasn't on TV either. I can say if the crowd would look much better in Baton Rouge today, because this is just an example of how the mentality of our people have changed over the last 20 years.

Peace...

N--ga shut up! You wouldn't have had shcit! You SU negr-s always tryin' to talk about what you would have. If a tropical storm came through and the game was on TV yo azz woulda been sittin' home with everybody else. DUMB AZZ. Some of you SU boyz are so stupid, tryin' to act like you above the SWAC sit yo azz down somewhere. If that game wasn't on TV it woulda been more people DUMMY.

That was the worst display of special teams I have ever saw in my life. Comegy is waaaayyyyyyyyyyyy overated. Bell might be a better coach.

Let me see SU try to play in a tropical storm. Even big time teams would have trouble with that. You worry about PV yellow boy.

Shaw, this game is atrocious! Ain't no way in hell I would want someone to see this type of play in the SWAC.

You dumb azzes are funny. NO team looks good in a monsoon rain. Like AAMU would just run a perfect game in this. I played ball, trust me you have NO CLUE.

BTW, jsu has still not corrected the problem that I saw last week with their defense. The offensive line still isn't doing a great job either.

MAn, Texas Southern QBs are just throwing the ball up. This isht is really getting me mad. SWAC teams shouldn't be showcased that play like this. This game looks so high schoolish.

Mike have you played football? I doubt it with that gay azz smile you got on your face. If you play on the OL or DL you GET NO LEVERAGE IN A RAINSTORM DUMMY!!! Both lines are gonna look bad idiot.

Any other two SWAC teams playing in this kind of condition would look just as sloppy. I played ball 3 years and trust me, it ain't easy in this kind of condition. It's funny how a one time winner like AAMU can sit back and all of a sudden judge another team as if you're a SWAC king. Sit yo' azz down somewhere country bama. You would have looked just as bad in that storm. DUMB AZZ.

Please. Who looks good playing in a tropical storm? And SU posters know darn well few fans for any I-AA team will sit through a storm to watch football on a Thursday night.

Terribly played but they were playing against Humberto. Worst game I've seen on tv since the bayou classic last year. I was watching sportscenter and they said we had 30 total yards. Piss poor

And yet this is the same team that beat you last year. :emlaugh: Y'all really need to give it a rest.

Only because our kicker missed. We gave ya'll the game. This is a new year and a new season. You will NOT be facing the same SU team this year......

P.S. ya'll were not good last year. No smack intended.

Ay smart azz. Tell me one thing that I said that was not correct. Just one thing. From what I saw, that game was horrible. I don't care what it was played in. I said it was horrible because your o-line sucked. Texas Southern's defense was playing on the same wet field that your team was on. They sucked just as well. But, they were still getting through your line at the beginning of the game. Do you know the laws of energy? Dummy that is what you use when playing football. If you had went to class sometime in your life you would know what that is and how to use it. Well since you played ball, you may know how to use it, but you probably didn't know. Which is evident right about now.

As for the play calling, it was also horrible for both sides. The only thing that made jsu's look better was the fact that TxSU had no dayum clue. For one, why would Steve keep trying to run the same dayum swing pass knowing that your kid is scared to catch the ball. He showed no effort to catch the ball. He was more concerned about getting hit. If you DVRed the game, go back and look at every pass thrown to him.

Also, there was not one time that jsu lined up that you couldn't tell what the play was. I know your offensive sets because they are elementary. Like I said earlier, jsu and TxSU played on the same field. Their side wasn't dry while yours was wet. You make adjustments to the elements and you take advantage of your opponents weak areas. Trust me yall got a few that any body can and also have exposed. TxSU team quit after halftime. The QB was just throwing the ball up and the running backs were tippin to the line. jsu's line wasn't blocking and on most of the plays your right guard was chop blocking. He did that because he couldn't stop his man from getting in the backfield.

Anyway, go look at the game again. Maybe you just close your eyes because you were winning. You couldn't have seen the same game as I did. BTW, I judge my team just as hard. I just don't do it out here. When they mess up, I say something about it and I don't just say it to these folks on here either.

I'm done commenting now. Have at it oh wise all football knowing clown. Next time I'll mean mug in a family photo like you do since you don't like my avatar.

~what an idiot~ :smh:

Then what were you? dummy. Only because your kicker got KNOCKED THE F OUT!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

What's stupid? Point it out and we can have a real discussion about it. Teach me where I have errored.

You played football on the Bench!

Ok, since you wanna talk real, but you've been smacking the whole time. DID YOU PLAY FOOTBALL? first question. I'm gonna guess that's a no. You can get any leverage or any type of footing in a rainstorm, soaked field like that. That goes for TSU AND JSU and ANY team in the country. Anybody in their right mind knows that.

What's funny is....we won the game 28-7, yet people like you love to hate JSU so much, you'll find anything wrong. Has AAMU played a flawless game ever? No, you haven't....do you think any team would play a flawless game in a rainstorm? We put up 28 and held 'em....even though they SUCK....to 7 points, but you you haters STILL give NO credit. That's my point.

Well, well, well, I just made it back from the monsoon and just by reading some of these posts, guys are starting to run scared already.

JSU's defense completely and I do mean COMPLETELY DOMINATED Tex Southern's offense. This is the best I've seen them play all year.
Stupid azz people like mike and some of these su-ers have no idea how fast and how big our db's, our safety and our linemen are on defense. We made tex. sou. play like that, not humberto or their coach.

We tried to tell yall that Oliver was the key to this team. We could've scored 50 points on Tex Southern tonight, but our coaches called off the dogs.

All I know is JSU IS IN FIRST PLACE!! Yall gone listen soon enough, but it might be too late.
Now the pressure's on aamu and alabama state to win Saturday!! Huh!!!

JSU held tex so. to 18 total yards in the first half. WOW!!

Let's be real here people. NO TEAM IN THE SWAC would have looked good in that stuff tonight. I think in the conditions to even score 28 points is good. Let's just keep in real. We are already at the bottom of football, you really think any of our arses could have gone out and done a decent job in that.

J-State you still have word to do, but you can not blame special teams in some crap like that. I have seen 1-A teams do worse or the same. Let it rest. They go the win, be happy fo them.

But see you in Mumford!!!

Wow! Who in the world are you? I'll simply pray for you, because I'm not yours or no one else's negr-s or however you want to spell it. As for DUMB AZZ or however your scared to type butt want to spell it, I hope you at least graduated with at least a 2.0 if you are going to be stupid enough to type some crap like this about somebody your butt don't know.

this is childish. Grow up and act like somebody that your family and the founder's of your university and mines (the HBCU family) can be proud of.

Now for your information, I spoke of what I experienced in the 80s. I also said that I can't say that the crowd would be any different today in Baton Rouge. So, here is the failing grade of your comprehension and intellect. Crowds 20 years ago would have been out there. Today, they run for the covers when it starts drizzling. Maybe you don't have the age or knowledge to know any different. I wasn't at games in the 60s. So, you want here me speak on that. There are a number of us that were in the stands in Houston at a SU vs PV game back in the 80s (don't remember the year, but I believe Casem was SU's coach). Not only was it a big rain, but a tornado came through not too far from the stadium. At a certain point, they announced for us to go under the stadium from the stands. After a short while, they announced that we could come back to our seats. Mind you, it still continued to rain. The woodwinds eventually gave up and took the horns to the buses. But, the fans remained in the stands in their rain gear. I can't remember how many times we were in Mumford in pour downs.

So, check yourself! I have never seen such immature, disrespectful, ignorant, illiterate people who don't even realize it. Is this what the SWACPage has degraded to... This use to be a board that SWAC alums could be proud of... Now, we have attracted this low life mentality? smh... What is the deal Kenn? Has your market hit a depression? I know the site moved to a new address. But, is this what the neighborhood has sunk to become? This is too personal for me. I'm a grown man and this isn't acceptable. PERIOD. Never has. Not today! Not tomorrow...

Peace be unto all...

*whew* i'm just getting in from Baby Katrina. lol. It was raining cats, dogs and texas southern incomplete passes out there. It was an ugly one but we'll take it.

Attendance: 5,513

Just so you know. Yall looked just like you did last week. This time you were playing TxSU and it was wet. You are no better than you were last week. You beat a poorly coached and prepared team. Your coach also went back to your best QB. If I was yall I would still be mad that he screwed up a win over TnSU by pulling Oliver. But, you just happy to see a win. Oh well, after Bell I can really understand your joy.

As for the hater crap. If you look back, you'll notice that I mostly talked about TSU. Not jsu! Idiots! :lmao:

Go celebrate your first win. You didn't really have to do anything but show up for it because a high school team could probably have won that game against TSU. Remember I picked yall to win. So, I evidently don't hate you that much. :smh:
