This will be our home stadium for the smaller games. This is a litmus test to show Slade that if we sell out this stadium every home game, then it would justify building an on campus stadium that seats 30K. Simply put, Slade is not one to invest heavily in athletics as this is not her major concern. The university needed attention to it's academic needs as a priority than that of athletics. In order to recruit a better academic makeup of professors and deans, they need to have competitive ammenities of our competitors rather than a football stadium that may or may not have a winning season. This is a double-edged sword we are dealing with at Texas Southern. Now had all the academic issues been addressed BEFORE Slade became President, then I would be all on her in taking care of the athletic needs as a major priority. I am all for a huge athletic program but it will always take a back seat to academics.
Cleb seriously how many people is that smaller stadium going to seat do you have any idea??????????
I don't care what anybody else say I think you alll need to have a stadium (only right)...... I think you all should push for that but I understnd what you said in your previoous post.....
