"Swing and Sway", where did this marching style originate?

Don't get me wrong Juke. 83 was the best that I saw. I agree with your whole analogy. 83 was a beast. However only us Jukes can find a small thing and mess with it. LOL. There were these 2 Tenor Drum members who would over exaggerate the rock when they marched in 83 and you can see it in most shows that year on film. I would call them out, but them old PSI bruhs my come find me and put me back on line. :lmao:

He went to Walker High... Him, Celestine and Bedell are some of the few that came from Walker that went to SU...
Knew most of them folk threw my uncles that was in school around that time.. Most of all of my people went to Fortier though..

Yeah I forgot he went to OP Walker. These used be so much noise talking in the band room from the cats from the N.O. about their High Schools. Fortier had quite a few in the Juke then. I think there was somebody from every section pretty much from Alcee Fortier. I heard they shut that school down. I think my LB "Oops" told me that.

Yeah, they shut Fortier, Kennedy High and a few others down after the hurricane... Oops went to school with my people at Fortier.. I still remember being in like Kindergarden going to Fortier football(my uncles played ball) and band practice.... That's when Fortier was FUNKY!!!! Besides St. Aug, Fortier was probably the best band in the city during that time.. John Mac folk will argue that though....lol Kennedy didn't realy come on to the scene until 85 when they got "Murphy's Law" and most of the white folk left the school....lol

Kennedy used to be "City Park High"....
 
One thing i can say is that.... Things are always subject to change.. not always for the better but hey .. thats all i can say to that ..lol

I some what agree; Liddell is very consistent in a lot of areas. We have to realize that Liddell came from a different era than Taylor, but Liddell have knowledge when it comes to being competitive. You can?t compare Liddell to Taylor or Haughton, some people just have more natural born talent than others.

Naw...You know that SOME people DO NOT like me to comment of Dr. Liddell. I do not have a problem with him...

But it is said that SOME of these here on this site take my words and twist them. What can you say....Over 95% of them DO NOT even have a clue on truth, fact, faction and things that happened before their time.

It wasn't closed because your dislike for Liddell. I could care less whether you like the man or not. You're not the only who expresses their negative feelings towards the man.

What gets your threads closed is your combativeness and your sick love to keep up drama and argue. It's not 'gon go down like that on THIS band forum! So you can either speak your mind with respect for others or you can kick rocks. It's just that simple.
