I always heard that Bob Hayes of FAMU was the fastest in his time and he was also the fastest player on the Dallas Cowboys team back in the days.
Thats who I was going to say. I played against him in High school. That boy was the fastest person I ever saw. :eek2: We had a hard time trying to keep up with him on the scouting tape.Originally posted by MikeBigg
I later years....Dexter Butcher who played tailback 89-93. According to "eye witness accounts", Dexter never lost a race during the "street meets" against GSU & La Tech players.
Maybe Cleb-28 knows who has the fastest recorded time in SWAC history.
Spencer Douglas racked up some yardage. He was alright in the backfield, but it was that line that kept us off him. THAT DAYIUM BOX WAS HELL!!!!Originally posted by MikeBigg
BTW, how many yards did my homeboy Spencer Douglas get on yall when you played the Island. That Dude should be in the league, but academics and other problems kept him off the field.
Fortunately, he straighten his life around (comes from a good family) and is doing well in Cali.
Does anyone remember Nolan "Super Net" Smith from JSU?
