That the key to everyone's dilemma, if we can get the students back to attend the games everything would be alright.

Will that turn into fans in the stands though? You've had 2 good seasons over the last 2 years and they still arn't coming.

Texas Southern Men's basketball avg. attendance has increased over the last 3 years. I would like to see us avg. 3-4K per game. This past season our home game against PV drew a near sellout of 7,500 fans (8,100 capacity). According to NCAA.org,

2013 : 26,144 (avg. 2,011) 13 games
2014: 23,998 (avg. 2,182) 11 games
2015: 25,803 (avg. 2,580) 10 games

I know for fact our women's basketball avg. attendance has increased during this same time period.

I'm a huge attendance watcher for TSU and our exposure on the local news at least reporting our scores and all home games are reported.

I'm also a BIG TSU supporter and advocate but even I do NOT attend the women's game; however, I listen to them on the radio. That being said, I know that the level of interest for both basketball programs are up and it doesn't reflect a huge increase on paper but know that it's there.

I feel very good about where we are as an entire athletic department and with this continued success we'll get up to my above desired average within 2 years.

Problem is next year you won't have the PV february game to boost the numbers unless you could push it back the final week of round one

I remember the series being the last game each year then it was the last game of the first half and the first game of the second half (Saturday-Tuesday) to what it is now

I like the 3 pm tip offs, I can go watch the women and men play and still have my full Saturday night to do what I want to do.
