I think this will be Pett's last year. I think in time he could right the ship but sometime it's just time for change. Not sure who AAMU would go after, though.

Blankman (and DAHILL too), wishing Pettaway gone is only half the battle. :lecture:
THANK YOU PV!!!!.... EVERYTHING is falling into place.
Pettaway made another dumb call.... called a timeout with about 10 seconds left AAMU down by 2..... sets up an in bound play under the goal and draws up a ALLEY UP inbound play... WTF. A play that has about a 20% chance to work. I dont know if I can thank PV or Pettaway.... neverthless THANKS!!! HOPEFULLY that was the last time I have to see a Pettaway coached team in person again.
What makes you so sure he is gonna get fired? Is his contract up? Do you guys have a chance of getting the dude fired from TNState?
PV men lost a 16 point lead to go down 76-75 but they stayed the ship to win 82-80 over AAMU.
I see we posted at the same time... like I said I highly doubt he is fired. If so, Cy Alexander (from Tn State) would definitely be one of MY favorites.
How did Spivery not recruit that kid. He grew up in Scotland. :shame:Harmason
maybe they'll see the opportunity to grab a coach who's already been successful in DI and will make a move.
way to go Coach Woods for coming back from that brutal out of conference schedule. When you get a chance to recruit more of your players, Valley will be a contender again.
IT WAS A VERY GOOD GAME LAST NIGHT. THE SWAC REFS APPEARED VERY COMPETENT AND IN CONTROL. THERE WAS NO DOUBT WHAT THE PROBLEMS WERE BETWEEN THE TWO TEAMS. CONGRATS TO JSU ON A VERY GOOD CONTEST AND THANKS TO SWAC OFFICE FOR SENDING COMPETENT OFFICIALS TO WORK THE GAME. THESE ARE THE TYPE OF OFFICIALS THAT SHOULD BE CALLING ALL OF OUR GAMES !!:clap:3108 in attendance.. nice. That's the highest I can remember for UAPB game.
It was a great game even though we lost. Our players just had "butter fingers" last night, right up under the goal when they recieved the pass but some could not handle it.
Jackson State in my opinion is the best when it comes to execution. They are quick, when I say quick I mean really, really quick. They were the quickest of all the teams in the SWAC that came into the HYPER. They can really bounce off the floor too when it comes to second chance shots.
Again even though my school, lost the officiating was good. Like I said in an earlier thread, when the cameras are on...the officiating improves for some reason. lol.
translation....we got whipped so referees weren't much of a factor :emlaugh:
.......Man I tell you!
Anyway We missed too many FREEthrows! JSU hit theirs and that was the difference! Anything more than 8 turnovers and shooting less than 80% from the give-me line equals a loss! I will say JSU was very quick and protected the ball nicely!

has anyone noticed Valley only wins at home?![]()
Harmason and Petty are Green's players........you sure :emlaugh:
umm....hmm just like you were talking stupidly when Strib left, and thinking Green couldn't win. Ok genius who recruited Shannon Behling, Julius Cheeks, Tashan Newsome, all have played very well in spots this year for us. I know you secretly love Valley, that's why you ALWAYS have some little assinine comment when it concerns Valley.
Without Petty, Valley would be 0-forever.
sure, If I were you I'd worry about going to go get Grant Maxey a helmet to wear so he won't get hit again in practice.

From the way you benefitted from him not playing well, you need to hope he gets hit again.
