That's been the one bad thing about Coach O'Sullivan. He's gotten Florida to the championship series at the CWS twice but both times the team appeared to wilt under pressure. The softball team had the same issues, but finally got over them and won back-to-back titles, so maybe the baseball team learned something from them. Have to keep our eyes on Texas right now to make sure they don't try to steal him away now that Auggie Garrido is out.
 
Bama State's looking like the bad news Hornets. Man, they look terrible.
Trailing 7-0 in the first inning.
 
This first inning is reminding me of Bama State's dubious blow outs in the NCAA basketball tourney.

Sometimes, even a good pitcher can be a shade off in his mechanics and can't get the ball in the right zone....

Alicea should have started for the Hornets. I said that when this game was confirmed. He works the plate with junk and then fires a beautiful fastball on the inside to sit people down. Camacho is a consistent zone pitcher, but a good hitting team can get hot on him. His delivery is like someone throwing batting practice out of the L. The major division I programs hit those types of picthers all day at hitting practices.

I honestly think the game is passing Mike Martin by I know a few guys who umpire in the ACC and they told me he is simply just getting by on the FSU name
 
I just tuned in to the game is Florida State on their 3rd pitcher already.. I dont think they started their ace...good job on making this a game

The game has passed him by and he really has underachieved. With all those wins, winning season, and playoff appearances, go see how many CWS appearances and championships and compare that to Augie.
 
Damn Bama State!!!!! As soon as you get back in the game, you give up 2 quick runs!!! And this team has made waaaayyy too many errors!!!!
 
Camacho had a bad game along with the rest of the team. We have to play better tomorrow. Numbers will still show him an All Time Great in the SWAC. If anyone disagrees, the please post stats of other pitchers who went this long without losing

He's not an all-time great.....but he was SWAC awesome!!!! Good for him, he can be used again tomorrow. McIntosh came in and did well....but Bizzle fizzled.
Also, the defense needs to play much better. I think the errors may be charged to the "playoff atmosphere". And even though Bama State is down by a huge margin, they can still put up runs in this game.

One game doesn't define if a player is great or not. Camacho also wins over Miami and California Fullerton. Like I said before post stats of those that are considered SWAC All Time Greats

I'm really worried that Texas might try to steal O'Sullivan away from Florida.
