Question for jSU fans. Didn't the SWAC pass a rule that you must play 100% of your games in order to be elgible for the SWAC tournament. If so, why didn't jSU and aSU somehow find a way to play game 3. I would hate that this rule would stop jSU from participating into what is shaping up to be an outstanding tournament.

Gramblings team is in the building stages i don't doubt and the future of the baseball program is looking brighter for the future, but when you try to use the talent card, that talent isn't showing up when SU plays GSU! Winning is the most important thing! Grambling has matched up against SU like no other SWAC team has this season so get off your little high horse! When in doubt pull out the talent card, the injury card etc! Blah, Blah, Blah! Blah, Blah, Blah!

No there is no such rule in conference play. You can't determine weather. With the way most of these schools have to hurry up and leave after games it was nothing JSU could do. It's at the SWAC office discretion if the games are worth any value at the end of the year. However in Alcorn's case they may have to meet half way to play Alabama A&M cause there entire weekend was canceled earlier this year I think you can only have a certain number of games that can be canceled which they have had 4. I know in 2002 Southern had to come to Jackson to play Pine Bluff because it determined seeding in the conference tournament that year. I hope that clears everything up but the rain came down super hard in the top of the 7th inning and the rain delay lasted close to 2hrs and the umps had to make a decision. But trust if could have we would have we got it in

Now i agree with that..

Are you sure. I remember reading that in the advocate.

Trust I am very very very very sure if push come to shove and have to meet Bama St. in Selma or B'ham. But 10 time out of 10 we wont. as stated they would have to cancel the entire easter division cause everyone had rain outs in Huntsville this year. We would almost have to push the tourney back a week to make up all of those games We made up our 1 game up there Valley lost 1 there Alcorn lost 3 from snow I think Bama St got all of there's in up there though but they just lost that 1 with us yesterday. The rule was put in place for those teams who hadn't played the NCAA 42 or 45 game min and with majority of teams games conference games thats why they try and get those games in

Assist.

Advocate

By SWAC rule, teams have to play all divisional games to be eligible for postseason play.

?I don?t agree with that, because, first, we don?t have the financial means to stay over and second, you?ll force kids to miss additional classes,? Cador said. ?I?ve argued about that rule. If you can?t play them, let them go like everybody else (other Division I conferences).?
