Man y'all still fussing over this smh, Face it JSU vs SU will not happen every year unless the SWAC gives you a permanent playing team for so many years like the SEC does. The years SU dont play JSU go play FAMU or another big powerhouse HBCU team its not that hard folks.

This is the best post I've read so forth! If a SWAC school schedules another SWAC school not on it's master schedule, the SWAC should fine that school at least $50,000.

I agree....all this "do what I like" mess has to cease!!!! I can see it now...some schools will still play all 9 other SWAC schools.

Too deep of a rivalry and way too much money on the line for these two schools not to play each other which is everyone's point. Same for JSU/Gram, Alcorn/SU, Alcorn/Gram. The purpose of this is suppose to help our athletic depts, not make it worse I assume. I get what you're sayin but the picture is way bigger than what you and others with your mindset even attempt to see, no offense. The MS vs LA rivalries (mines Valley) are how these schools made so much money and have so much more succes than other schools in the SWAC so why would they give all that up. Makes no sense. SWAC wise, if these schools don't or can't play each other we'll see how long all this goes on and trust me, it won't be long cuz MS & LA have the craziest of the crazy fans that will do anything for their schools to get back where they need to be.
