I didn't ssssssssttttuddddder. You may indeed lead the swac in season tickets sold, but apparently you still aren't selling enough because some of you are on here talking about how you can't survive if jsu isn't on your schedule. when auburn plays pacific or bama a&m it still goes in the books as a sell out because all the tickets were sold, primarily to their fans (only exception is the 2k tickets they give to the opposition).
If YOUR fans can't fill YOUR stadium that means your not doing a good enough job selling tickets OR... you built your stadium too big. If scootlandville high is on the schedule it should be a sellout.
Bama state has a 26,500 capacity stadium. whoever comes in there should find 26,500 alabama state fans. not 15k hornet fans and 13k jax state or southern, whatever. you might not like that. you might say its unrealistic, but that's why you having an AD, and marketing is for. why would you want the opposition to bring their fans, band, and cheerleaders? how does that help you win a football game?
and lest I forget... your apparently legendary season ticket sales that I knew nothing of. mumford seats what almost 30K? so how many season tickets are you guys selling on average? 5k? 10k? yall still got work to do. that's the point. so does the Corn, and everyone else in this conference. when alcorn went to JMU they were ok with the 12 alcorn fans that showed up. they squeezed them in amongst the 28k of their fans that showed up... lol.
