I do not think many people who ceased to believe did so because they were forced to. They did so after thinking outside of the box, learning more about the world, history, immersing themselves in science and the ever-expansion of space. They may have realized good things are not exclusive to those who believe in a certain religion, or live a certain way, as well as bad things. They may have been through an experience where they were isolated, and had no one to lean on, but sheer intuition and will power. I highly doubt "Big Mama" would turn them away from the church. If anything, she may have help them stay in it.

Wikipedia is fine as a source as long as the statement itself is sourced. Most stuff on Wikipedia is sourced or it's flagged.

Not true. During Magic City Classic week I modified the page for Alabama State. While hilarious, the only reason it changed is because I know a hornet that has access to edit there as well and I told him so he changed it. You can post anything you want at any time and if no one is paying attention you can either make up a source (as I did) or just not list one. Using wiki without further resources lacks credibility. He did not cite the original source he cited wiki therefore not checking its credibility

Dude, seriously - you're asking someone to prove a negative, it's logic 101.

If I walked up to you and said that there was a teapot orbiting Saturn, could I insist that it was the case until you proved me wrong? Of course not. There's no way to prove that there isn't a teapot orbiting Saturn. The burden of proof is on whoever makes a positive claim.

But it shan't be said that I'm not willing to compromise, so here's 600+ proofs that God exists.

If I say I have a unicorn in my garage, it's up to me to present evidence of my claim. It's not incumbent on you to prove I don't. That's how logic and reason works.

You could use a telescope or a probe to prove that there was no teapot in orbit.
 
The problem is Unicorns actually exist. I just rode thru the hood and saw one with red hair, blue hair and one evn had green hair.

God exist!!!! These people running around asking for proof should simply sit down and evaluate their life and how they got through struggles. I'm not one to sit up and quote scriptures but I compare scripture to what has happened to me and its nothing but God working.

I just pray that some of you you who do not believe make the transition to believing because being a believer in God is a beautiful thing.

As far as gay people, God teaches me to love people even with their faults. I live by a scripture, how can I point out the splinter in one mans eye when I have a plank in mine. Gay people are living in sin, but I am also a sinner so how can persecute them.

That's called "deism". How can you prove that YOUR biblical god is the one true "god"? That's the real question I've yet to get an accurate answer from those making the claim.

When religious folks quit intervening in the "personal lives" of consenting adults merely because "their god" commands them to, then society can become more enlightened and folks can get along with each other regardless of their sexual identity.

I've asked Cee Dog to do this several times and he hasn't because he can't. One thing he can do is try and "joke away" the fact that he can't provide evidence.

This god supported genocide, slavery, rape, murder, pillaging, murdering children, selling daughters to their rapists, burning people forever in fire, etc. How is any of that beautiful?

Some things in the bible are good, but humans (for the most part) already know what's good and what isn't, some just choose not to practice it. If humans didn't know right from wrong (for the most part), we wouldn't have made it this far after thousands of years of experimenting.
 
Those on the religious right and among the black church have to prove how same-sex marriage somehow negatively impacts citizens of the US. As far as state governments are concerned, do they really want to breach the Constitution (the pursuit of happiness) by restraining a segment of the population from exercising a right everyone else can freely explore? I mean, some of those same state leaders are protective of the document when it comes to speaking out against an opinion or action tied to President Obama.

JayRob you can continue to say all the negatives about God all you want.....it's will not change my perspective or others.

I'm not going to judge your opinion because I can't. I have not lived in your shoes that assisted in forming your opinion. So please understand that this goes both ways.... In my studying of the Bible it teaches love even to none believers.... Like I said I'm not a Bible beater but I believe. I will continue to pray for you.
