Quietstorm ain't a lil boy. Trust, he's just being honest about why PV didn't travel as MUCH in the past. And traveling has nothing to do with PV's quality as a band. Need I continue to refer people to Texas A&M? Here's a hint for you: Texas A&M band doesn't get much recognition at all but NO ONE CAN OUTDRILL THEM and NO ONE can outplay them in marches. Yes, I said it. Heyall......they're comparable (and maybe a lil better) than the Marine Band in the marches category.:eek: :eek:

Oh, well if this is true, then everyone in the BOOM needs to be
on one accord because everyone's knee lifts be different.
A third of them pop 45's, a third of them be da*n near walking,
and the other third be tryin to actully pop 90's.
So they need to all have an understanding that they're going
to be marching military style.

IMO 90's give the show a more intense look and feel in HBCU
bands.

Dude, you were the one that brought up the travel issue. Be prepared to deal with the response.

Nobody has spoken ill of your beloved band, but you have this pre-concieved notion that "the Boom is God" and can't be touched. Mentalities like that will set you up for failure every time.

Hope to see y'all this season. I want to see this matchup.

I'm not trying to make the boom "GOD", They can make their own statement. What I said was PV can't get pass Txso, I did not say budget wise, I went back talking about bands wise meaning better than.

I also stated that PV was not even in the Top 3 of the swac because they never do travel.


I'm just still paused that You start this thread every year, I don't mean one person, just someone from PV. How many times have we played you and the band has not shown either in Jackson or Texas.

This year will be no different and take that from a person that is in charge of book keeping for Jackson State University Sonic Boom of the South.

For the person that came on here and lied saying Txso gave us heat last year needs to stop the lying and tripping and wake up out of the deep dream.

I was not trying to start beef between PV and TXSO, so drop it, I was posting facts...............................
 
Facts? No. Conjecture? Yes. Can't get past TxSU? That's so absurd it's funny, and further shows that you have no clue what you are talking about. There is no beef between us and TxSU. I dunno where you got that idea from. And TxSU did bring some heat to you all last season. Don't front on the net like they didn't. Wait......I forgot who I was talking to.

PV never does travel??? Jump into the 21st century dude. That shat died in the 90's.

For the last time.....Every time we play in Texas we are there waiting. No Boom. How many times have we played in Texas since 1986 (when PV last visited JSU)? And out of those meetings, how many has the Boom showed up to?

Hmm....I can't wait to visit Washington, DC, Texas. Or Shreveport, Texas. Or even Nashville, TX. But my favorite was Atlanta, TX.

Buy a clue cuz you are way off base dude. Most Jackson people I run across are cool. But a couple of you do more dodging than 3rd graders at recess. Always talkin bout travel, but never have an answer as to why they haven't returned a trip from 18 years ago, then wanna biyatch about somebody travelling.

For the most part they march at a 45 degre angle. I've seen many BOOM bands that have done this well . There are times when this fluctuates with a few people sticking out.

This thread isn't started every year as a means to say the BOOM is scared. BOOMERS are usually the ones to begin with "We won't come to small time PV." or "PV would lose anyway." So naturally someone from PV (here's that TX mentality thing to defend your own) is gonna say "Well, fine.....PROVE we're small time and come on down." Comparing PV's performance against the Ocean as a means for a measuring stick against the BOOM isn't logical at all. Regardless of how the Ocean or the Storm would do against each other in the FIRST game......THEY ARE NOT THE SAME BAND AND HAVE NEVER HAD THE SAME OR SIMILAR STYLE. It's fair to say that since '86 the BOOM hasn't seen anything remotely CLOSE to PV's style. PV proved that shat at the Honda.:eek: Yup, I said it. And for the record....PV WENT TO JACKSON IN '86....THE BOOM HAS YET TO COME TO TX TO FACE PV. Remember, IT AIN'T JUST PV PEOPLE THAT WANT TO SEE THIS BATTLE.:idea:
