Anybody else watching? The first 2 episodes have been off the chain! :tup: I like the way the characters are evolving.

Watching it. Two episodes and it's just as crazy, backstabbing, bloody, underhanded, and everything else already. I'm really interested to see how this "new character" will play into it all. The sad thing is that this is the last season for the Spartacus franchise.
 
Enjoyed the two episodes so far. Watching the development of Crassus and Julius Ceasar is very interesting. I wish the show would end differently but we all know how it will turn out.
 
The difference between Crassus and the other Romans is that he respects Spartacus. I believe Crassus is going to use Ceasar as a spy, because he will not let him shave.

The beginning of the end for the rebellion. Crassus and Ceasar will do anything to beat Spartacus.

Also Crassus picked a hell of a time to start whipping Tiberius into shape!!! I'm pretty sure decimation is not what Kore meant by treating him more like a man.
 
Tiberius has lost his mind! Has anyone noticed he has never beaten anyone face to face? I hope his death is slow and painful.
 
I had not chimed in because I was so far behind. I had only seen the first two episodes before this weekend. I think I missed episode 3. This weekend I watched five episodes so now I am caught up! It was amazing but the last scene of the last episode was very sad. I understand why Crixus and Spartacus had to go on separate paths but I think they should have remained as one.

...I can't wait to see what Ceasar has in store for young Tiberius! :lol:

There was a Spartacus movie on last night from the 70s I think. I recorded it but I won't watch it until the series finale of War of the Damned. I don't want any spoilers but they don't show any blood and the warriors look nothing like these Starz Warriors. You should see the dude they have playing Crixus.. LOL

When I read this statement, I didn't know what to expect, but when I saw the episode, I was like wow!!!! Tiberius is like a spoiled little rich kid, who will eventually get his in the end.

He has grown way too fast in this series. He has gone from what seemed like a questionable, innocent child, to losing his best friend before turning to the dark side and raping two people and killing someone that far stronger men have fallen before!

That movie was my introduction to the Spartacus legend. Hollywood was not as graphic then.
I wonder if Spartacus and Cesar are going to team up to kill Tiberius? Regardless, his days are numbered.

I can't see Ceasar teaming with Spartacus to do schitt! :lol: But I do see a sword up the azz in Tiberius' future.. LOL

I knew Ceasar wasn't going to take that! Spartacus had me pumped at the end! Am I the only one not ready for this series to end?
 
Yeah it was a fitting end to the series... even though in reality they never found Spartacus remains after the battle.. i knew they wouldn't let him walk off into the sunset with the roman chick.

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but Crixus and Spartacus both died in similar fashion. Neither actually died at the hands of their foe and definitely not head to head, whoever they were fighting needed some kind of help.

And yes I'm being a bit cryptic, I'm doing that for those who haven't seen the final series yet.
 
I noticed the same thing. Only pure hate would make some one fight the way the rebels did. The gladiators had been "institutionalized " and all they wanted to do was kill Romans. Did anyone else notice how they always ran towards a fight? Crocus could have easily gone into Roman and caused major damage but he turned and faced Crassus instead.
 
I think they azzez should have just ran for the hills! All that breaking up and dividing up an schitt! C'mon! That final battle would have been one for the ages if everyone had been there to fight.

I didn't know how it was going to end so it was a total downer for me when those spears went thru Spartacus. No one that we grew to love lived..except Agron and his boyfriend. :tears: Not even the ladies. BTW, that savage lady was a azz kicker! :lol:

I won't say that they did all of that for nothing but going from about 70,000 slaves trying to get free and only a few thousand made it and the Romans still kept going with business as usual... they crucified 6000 slaves on those crosses with Gannicus.

All I know is they all fell to their knees before the Romans. I mean dayum.. I thought they were gonna really escape. :lol: Yet, all their azzez got outnumbered and whooped. I was so sad.

Was Nivea a real person or was she created for the series. They really changed her from season 1 to season 4.
 
You know the series was base on historical fact. Spartacus led the largest slave uprising in history. In the final episode we saw the rise of Crassus, Caesar, and Pompey who's conflicts would end the Republic and lead to the establishment of the Roman Empire under Octavian (Augustus).
