No, but we made 400k and had more fans than they did. How many tickets are y'all getting and how much money will yo make??? I don't expect an answer.![]()
Bg,
Tulane does not have 400K to give Southern. You all can spin those numbers
however you like but you know you did not clear 400K. FAMU won't even clear
that much from Miami and Gram did not get that much from Louisville.

These Kneegroes are str8 up a Jackson (MS.) state product. First they let MASSA give them ole miss confederdate star and bars colors. Then their kountry arse let the GENERAL count their attendance and money. And just like a hankerchief head kneegrow they don't believe it gets any better. That pitiful mindset (how dare you share the gate with Mr. Y.T. MANN) is the same reason the confederate flag still flies in confederate memorial stadium and every public building in that arse backwards state.
Dont "playa hate," try to EMULATE, it is a stong possibility you will continue to be 2nd RATE, because sound business decisions are just not your jsue FATE.

I could really give a rats arse what you, or any other poster, choose to believe. Since you, and others, enjoy lies and enuendo then enjoy them cuz there appears to be plenty.
However, the simple fact of the matter is that Southern made a great attempt at playing some high quality HBCU's & PWC's, that shared the date, but they didn't want to play us. Real simple. As said earlier, this whole situation is about revenue. We aren't gonna go trodding around the country to play others because they came here the first year or any other situation that ya'll get involved with at your schools. Southern athletics pays for itself, not the State of Louisiana, or any other division the school. In order to remove ourselves from the delapadated facilities that you all love so much, we need to make money.
So when we call Alcorn about playing a non-confernece game and they tell us they will only play it in Lorman, the answer is no. When we call any MEAC school, excluding FAMU, and they want a home and home...you guessed it...NO.
So ya'll can female dog and complain about SU, but just be ready for that arse whippin you gonna get on Sept 21. OK.

I was trying to stay quiet, but this is out of hand. First of all, Jagster knows what he is talking about. No one at SU including Pete is scared of playing tough competition. Now in saying that, I think every Jag fan would like to see us play the tough and exciting schedule. I mean who wouldn't want to play FAMU, TNSU and others every year. Hell we played them in the 80's when our teams sucked. So why would we be scared now?
But when you have teams who tell you we will play you for a home and home only, then what do you do? Alcorn and I don't blame them wanted a home and home. Deservably so. They said no. But we need home games. Simple as that. Every AD is now looking at how much money they can make. My only problem is that we need to work on getting these games secured ahead of time, so there will not be still scheduling this late. The 2003 schedule will reflect what we are trying to do. McNeese is probably coming on the schedule next year and TnState may replace Tulane in the Big Easy Classic. Alcorn comes back on the schedule. No way in hell the SWAC allow SU and JSU not to play. No AD at SU would last through the year with that game off the schedule. Now if I was the SU AD I would call Albany St and Tuskegee for that 1 game deal. He may have done that. But again once people have had their schedules made, they are not going to change them for SU. So that leaves us with less choices.
Plus what 1-AA school that has a good program is going to just come on down to BR for a one night stand with no return engagement? Nicholls St must be desperate to come to BR for the one game this fall. Their AD should be getting crazy looks from their alumni for that one. Am I happy to be playing Miles and whomever for the 12th game. No I am not. But I understand the need for the home games. Hell I wish FAMU and SU could be playing that second classic game in Mobile they are having this year. That would generate alot of interest. Halfway point for both schools. But again, it takes two to tango. You folks act like it is all on SU. The ADs of other schools have to agree to play us. All we can do is ask. I have been following this pretty close and I know this is not based on SU being scared. Money, money and money. That is the bottom line. All this other stuff is pure opinion. So we have 2 wins lined up. What do we call the National Champs Miami Hurricanes scheduling 1-AA FAMU? I am sure they have another patsy lined up as well. Why didn't they just schedule a lower tier 1-A school like Marshall, who would be competitive? Same principle applys.
