No, but we made 400k and had more fans than they did. How many tickets are y'all getting and how much money will yo make??? I don't expect an answer.:p

Bg,

Tulane does not have 400K to give Southern. You all can spin those numbers however you like but you know you did not clear 400K. FAMU won't even clear that much from Miami and Gram did not get that much from Louisville.

BTW, you all are cowards just as GR said. The only reason your schedule is not full is because you all used all of Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, and June tying to find weak opponents. You all were the only school with half of a schedule in the middle of March. Teams would love to play JSU, Gram, FAMU, etc. If you can't find a decent game, then just don't play one. Culberson was trying to find a 12th game too but he was not willing to look under a rock to find it.

Kountry Mississippi Mentality

These Kneegroes are str8 up a Jackson (MS.) state product. First they let MASSA give them ole miss confederdate star and bars colors. Then their kountry arse let the GENERAL count their attendance and money. And just like a hankerchief head kneegrow they don't believe it gets any better. That pitiful mindset (how dare you share the gate with Mr. Y.T. MANN) is the same reason the confederate flag still flies in confederate memorial stadium and every public building in that arse backwards state.

Dont "playa hate," try to EMULATE, it is a stong possibility you will continue to be 2nd RATE, because sound business decisions are just not your jsue FATE.

LOL!!!! This mindset is expected when you're willing to go to TnState every year for about $150K... Not to mention they can make that with only 9K fans in a home game.

Well the contract calls for SU and Tulane to share the gate receipts 50/50, so Tulane didn't GIVE us anything, it was ours to begin with.

Isn't that how the USM deal is with Jackson St.?

Look, GR and Tigerpride, the name calling is not necessary. If you want Daddy to help you with that rent payment, then tell us now and we will see in Jackson next year. If you have found another way to pay your rent then by all means go right ahead.

But don't bite the hand that feeds you.

This dude is probably a sissy.....and so is Southern U.
Sissy U.

How does it feel to be affiliated with such a coward. I know it hurt to try to defend your schedule, but, oh well.

Lewis,

The JSU-New Haven was is totally different from what SU is doing. You all went out looking for patsy's to make a fool of and play ONE game at home. You knew that only D2's would even consider this. WHen JSU played New Haven, it was AFTER we had gone after a tough opponent. We did not Jack and Jill High school in December for a game and then when no one would play us, we played New Haven. That is what SU did.

..and someone asked why we played New Haven over PV and NCCU. NCCU and PV would both get drug by New Haven. We looked at all opponents and we chose the toughest one. Why won't SU try that??

So did we. We were turned down by every school that had an open date. Even SWAC schools. So you need to fault every other school in this conference, and others, for being too cowardly to play us.

Jagster,

Who do you expect to believe that y'all made an honest attempt at scheduling quality teams when you try to put unreasonable conditions on the deal??? JSU could approach Nebraska and say, y'all play us in Jackson two year straight with no return trip to Lincoln. When Nebraska tells us to take a hike, like them schools told y'all (if it really happened), we can always say we went after the big fish but they just wouldn't bite. S _ _. :smh:

I walked into Neimen Marcus one day and saw this nice pair of shoes. $1500. I told them I wanted to purchase a pair. The salesperson asked "what size???" I said, "you got a 18FFF." He realized I didn't wanna buy the shoes.

Bg,

Our game against USM ain't no classic, so it hardly compares to what you trying to suggest. Secondly, we gonna get paid. Won't have to worry about USM coming up with this, that or the other to keep from giving us our cheddar. Thirdly, you done read what we getting. That plus tickets we done already sold.

I could really give a rats arse what you, or any other poster, choose to believe. Since you, and others, enjoy lies and enuendo then enjoy them cuz there appears to be plenty.

However, the simple fact of the matter is that Southern made a great attempt at playing some high quality HBCU's & PWC's, that shared the date, but they didn't want to play us. Real simple. As said earlier, this whole situation is about revenue. We aren't gonna go trodding around the country to play others because they came here the first year or any other situation that ya'll get involved with at your schools. Southern athletics pays for itself, not the State of Louisiana, or any other division the school. In order to remove ourselves from the delapadated facilities that you all love so much, we need to make money.

So when we call Alcorn about playing a non-confernece game and they tell us they will only play it in Lorman, the answer is no. When we call any MEAC school, excluding FAMU, and they want a home and home...you guessed it...NO.

So ya'll can female dog and complain about SU, but just be ready for that arse whippin you gonna get on Sept 21. OK.

Hey Lewis,

Why are you soo quiet on this thread about SU's schedule when a couple of weeks ago you had soooooo much to say about ASU's schedule????

btw, if the jsue folks keep ragging SU's schedule, maybe you should kick them out of your beloved big 3.

Mighty Hornet,<br>I done said what I had to say about this. I already told Get Ready and his boys to stop playing dumb. We ain't home and home'ing with no weak arse school. What they don't wanna see is that we are trying to do some things with our next year schedule so we are trying to fill this years up without tying our hands next year. We ain't doing a home and home with them. They understand, they are just playing dumb, so I ain't argueing with them. IF we beat JSU by more points than we beat St.Pauls, .........

.....then you will still have a punk ass sissy schedule.

BTW

How, What, and Where is St Paul?

Damn this is sad

This reminds mind of the real FAT girl with a bad atttitude that hates the world and wants everyone else to be miserable.

Follow directions:

Take the blue pill, pink pill and the chill pill. Your envy and jeolousy of your SUperior will do nothing but give you high blood pressure. All of this "playa hatin" aint healthy. Perhaps you can join TBF in the eastern wing of the Betty Ford Clinic (that is the anger management division).

Until then know your role you are jackson state university. We are SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY. In mathematical terms:

SOUTHERN U >jackson state

So don't worry about what "Big Pappa" is doing.

I was trying to stay quiet, but this is out of hand. First of all, Jagster knows what he is talking about. No one at SU including Pete is scared of playing tough competition. Now in saying that, I think every Jag fan would like to see us play the tough and exciting schedule. I mean who wouldn't want to play FAMU, TNSU and others every year. Hell we played them in the 80's when our teams sucked. So why would we be scared now?

But when you have teams who tell you we will play you for a home and home only, then what do you do? Alcorn and I don't blame them wanted a home and home. Deservably so. They said no. But we need home games. Simple as that. Every AD is now looking at how much money they can make. My only problem is that we need to work on getting these games secured ahead of time, so there will not be still scheduling this late. The 2003 schedule will reflect what we are trying to do. McNeese is probably coming on the schedule next year and TnState may replace Tulane in the Big Easy Classic. Alcorn comes back on the schedule. No way in hell the SWAC allow SU and JSU not to play. No AD at SU would last through the year with that game off the schedule. Now if I was the SU AD I would call Albany St and Tuskegee for that 1 game deal. He may have done that. But again once people have had their schedules made, they are not going to change them for SU. So that leaves us with less choices.

Plus what 1-AA school that has a good program is going to just come on down to BR for a one night stand with no return engagement? Nicholls St must be desperate to come to BR for the one game this fall. Their AD should be getting crazy looks from their alumni for that one. Am I happy to be playing Miles and whomever for the 12th game. No I am not. But I understand the need for the home games. Hell I wish FAMU and SU could be playing that second classic game in Mobile they are having this year. That would generate alot of interest. Halfway point for both schools. But again, it takes two to tango. You folks act like it is all on SU. The ADs of other schools have to agree to play us. All we can do is ask. I have been following this pretty close and I know this is not based on SU being scared. Money, money and money. That is the bottom line. All this other stuff is pure opinion. So we have 2 wins lined up. What do we call the National Champs Miami Hurricanes scheduling 1-AA FAMU? I am sure they have another patsy lined up as well. Why didn't they just schedule a lower tier 1-A school like Marshall, who would be competitive? Same principle applys.

Actually Miami is playing Tennessee, Florida, and Florida State.....

They have enough pride to maybe schdule one patsy game and play a tough schedule the rest of the way.

Some teams have business sence, the ability to work deals, and pride. Others look for as many easy wins as possible.

But I digress....Since Im just hating and not trying hold SU to the mat for being the yellow faced cowards you are.
