I agree and have been thinking this for some! That man defense has not been working. Some of the regression in the D may also be personnel related. I believe that DE that was released this summer had been expected to be a major part of the D-line especially in applying pressure on the QB.

Jalon will be fine and has a higher ceiling than Skelton. Jalon’s last 2 starts 29-49 444 7 TDs 1 interception, 37 carries 235 yards 1 TD. This is sort of how we thought hed play when we signed him but it took a lot longer. Once he plays through his freshman mistakes we should be good. We aren't losing games because of offense we are losing them because of the defense. We are giving up almost 40 points a game. This is a defense that for the past 3 seasons has been one of the best in the swac. The new first time DC needs to be demoted. I'm hearing Ashley will step in.

Much of that was against our defense. I would not put a lot of trust into those numbers until he has done it against an average defense.

I repeat the only debate is if the SCG will be the piney hills of North Louisiana or the reservation. Sure the BC will be tough between the Louisiana cats as it should be between arch rivals, but defensively we are trending in opposite directions. This will be the difference.

He was 16/30 for 224 yards and 4 TDs 1 Int..
19 carries for 105 yards against SU. SU has one of the top defenses in the Swac. The kid can ball and will only get better with game experience.
