SU not coming out west with Skelton playing like that... I’m not worried about them.... I’m worried about j state moving forward... our defense gives games away and our offense goes cold at the wrong time. Coordinators got to go and we need to go DB shopping.
 
Just watched this game. Hype game from the fans to the bands to the teams. Props to jsu tv.

From what I just watched, both teams are about even. Both teams have super duper coaching flaws!!!!

Why did SU try to pass late in the game?
When is SU gonna stop anyone on 3rd down?
When is SU gonna stop the pass?
Why did JSU decide to run on 3 straight plays late in the game?
Where's Ponder late in the game?
Why didn't JSU put a spy on Skelton?

These are things we would like to see coaches 'adjust' to during the game.
 
We'll be alright! We will bring in another Class of Talent, create more depth and continue the rebuilding Process!

That's what happens when the Offense clams up and starts playing Not To Lose instead of Playing To Win by remaining Aggressive but Smart!

It looks like a solid 40K- 45 was present which was my initial expectation. Both sides were more empty than usual for a no-rain game.

It was a good one. I have no answer to these lol.
 
At end of the day taking nothing from JSU. But this games should not have been close.., but since we won people are happy. The problem is SU has not really improved and Odums is mediocre. The mistakes from the QB and the secondary is still plaguing the team.. .. IT'S SAD.

Yep we should've mopped the floor with jsu but we should be fine in 2 weeks. As always I'm ecstatic for the win!! It's a yearly tradition to win this game but it still feels damn good!

You had the more seasoned Team with a highly regarded Defensive line and an Experienced QB! I agree that your team was supposed to WIN and did! We are a young but scrappy Team that is headed in the Right direction.
 
I ain’t gone be a bad sport. Congratulations Southern.., again my boys played tonight and lived up to the hype we talked on the smack board , but coaching from the coordinators again was the tune all season us JSU fans have had to deal with we get up and get stupid. Southern can say what they want that JSU team was young and jj is only going to get better and you got 3 more years of him. This is a an Improved JSU team that’s being held back by young inexperienced coordinators period.
 
We gotta fix some stuff we’re young and scrappy . I agree about Odums. We didn’t cover the RB not one time. He should have attacked there more. He has to find a passing game because Skeleton can run his ass off but he is a horrible thrower. SU has the team to win the championship but Odums has to coach better.
