It's in much, much better condition that thing in Scot-land-fill....alias Scotlandville.

I see Memorial Stadium is a much more interesting subject than a high school linebacker coach. You, JR, jag and psycho just proved it. I don't blame you for not wanting to talk about it either.

If that's the case, maybe ALL of you need to start screening bluedog's threads before he starts them. LOL!

2 things.

1. Just because someone mentions your "home" stadium doesn't mean it's much more interesting.
2. much better condition is subjective.

But hey, when you have(and HATE) SU on the brain as much as you do, why would anyone expect different.

Yet it is so great that your powers that be and influential alums WANT OUT OF MEMORIAL. You know why? They see the bigger picture. It's a reason they want a JSU dome. Memorial is big. We know that. But it aint needed. And all you keep talking about is party? You think nobody else can party in their stadiums? Surely you jest. The other thing is this. Its only free as long as some Governor don't decide the state aint picking up the tab no more and tell JSU you need to build you a stadium. Again the reasoning your people in power are wanting something else. They understand the situation. See that's why my home state aint progressive. Folks just glad at what folks give them instead of figuring a way out of being dependent on if them other folks will keep their word forever. You better have a plan.

And this is not to demean Memorial. Being a Jacksonian, I know damn well why it was built. It was for them other folks schools to play their big games there. Ole Piss and State got off their lazy asses and went and raised money to upgrade their own stadium and told the state to kick rocks. You guys always take comments about Memorial the wrong way. It is a ton of your alums that wish yall had an on campus BRAND NEW stadium. You talk about atmosphere. We may come there and talk ish because we are playing JSU. It has nothing to do with the stadium. It's the opponent. SU fans would still come if you played on your campus. Actually that would be MORE OFF THE CHAIN than Memorial. Campus stadiums are always a better atmosphere if your fans show up.

A dome JR. We want a dome that will not be 60k, but not 25-30k either.
And tell us how that "independent" thing is working out with yall and Mudford. How those "upgrades" is coming along. Hey Jr?! Yall like our new scoreboard/big screen? Maybe we'll get the governor to hand us down another one since this one is about 2-3 years old. And maybe we will hand this one down to yall.

I understand. Rightfully so. I support that move if the planning is done right. But some of your folks are stuck on IT's free. Aint nothing in life free. There is always some catch to it. No matter how good it seems. Those white folks want JSU to stay in Memorial forever and not have to partner up with JSU to build something that could benefit the city and state ie the Dome.

Man it is a shame. Even my White HS classmates hauled arse out of the state. We love the homefront. But the poltical mentality whether its black or white is sooooo damn backwards. Former Governor Bill Allain was right. He warned the state the best and brightest would leave during that era never to return and the state would be left to mofos who have no clue. It's rearing it's ugly head now. No way some states should be doing better than the crib. So much opportunity has been squandered and the same connotation the rest of the U.S. has about the state remains. But that's another topic or thread.

BTW, what HS did you go to?

Yall keep talking bout this dome......and I know yall should already know, if them white folks ain't got it, you coloreds damn sho won't get it. And I would love to see yall with an on campus stadium. But parking.....parking.....parking. The best spot would be behind Metrocenter with plenty of parking and interstate access. But thats just my two cents.

During this entire thread, not one time have you mentioned one word about the thread title, which is about some random high school linebacker coach.
Like I said, yall need to screen bluedog's threads from now on. Over the past few weeks, he's been sounding grumpier and grumpier at any and everybody and a bit senile.

As far as "much better condition", the presence of so many su folks at Memorial Stadium is FACT that it's atmosphere is much better than any other atmosphere in the SWAC, and perhaps even all of Black college football. I know you won't admit it publicly, but that's why you su folks show up in droves every other year.
