I think I would have faked a heart attack and been on leave for the rest of the year.

At any rate, I decided not to do anything with him, other than make him call his mama, AND his daddy, and make HIM tell them what he tried to do. That was over an hour ago ... his arse is STILL crying because of what's coming to him when he gets home. His dad told him, "You had better be DAMNED GLAD I can't leave now, because your ass would be BLACK AND BLUE within the hour!" (I had him on speaker phone) :lmao:

Now, that little spawn of Satan arsed broad? She shall NOT set foot in my classroom for the REST of the week, and I have already made that clear to BOTH principals. Different situations might have made for a MUCH worse outcome, and all that batch was out for was a fugging LAUGH ... well, she can laugh her Aileen Wournos, psychopathic arse the HELL across the threshold ...

D@M Gurl, you funny.

What happened to the old days when you would call a parent make them take off work, come to the school and light their azz up?[/QUOTE]

a lot of parents are just as ignit as the children and have no earthly idea what they are doing most of the time, but be sure that i am from the old school and if anyone calls me at work for DEE acting up at school, his arse will be hot for a month, then i am going to make his daddy come off the job with me and you know how men are when they have to take some time......child services send help. :slap:

 It's alwayz something new with you....

:redhot: Teachers like you make me ill!!! Your job is to teach not critisize other peoples children. If you hav a problem with the kids you teach then talk to their parents or find another career!!!!

Uh, who said I didn't talk to any parents? READING IS FUNDAMENTAL ...

If you're ill, find yourself some Pepto. In the meantime, get your drawers outta your ass. If you have a problem with what I say, then you don't necessarily have to read it. I do believe that Kenn still has that BLOCK USER feature.

Hold on....! I gotta take Nita's side on this one, cause I'm not a teacher (yet) but have worked with kids for almost 10 years now...The TEACHER's responsibility is to TEACH.....The parent's responsibility is to DISCIPLINE AND TEACH! Some parents you tell their parents about them acting up and they put on the biggest front and don't do a THING to the kids when they get home...That's why they go back to school and do the same bad things they've been doing...If we could go back to tappin those little behinds, things would be different..!

Have you BAYOU BANDIT03' gotten in a room to teach lately? It's the most UNDERPAID career of all to me. The hardest part of the job is GETTING PARENTS INVOLVED.....It's PARENTS LIKE YOU that make TEACHERS ILL and get burnout so fast....Some parents just don't care anymore....

All you do is complain about the kids you teach. Every other day or week is something new. Why teach if all you gonna go is get on here talking about someones child. Why did you choose teaching??? If a child is acting up you have several methods;
-Principal
-Parents
-Detention
-No Recess
-Suspension

But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! You wanna knock a kid out!!!! How easy for a Teacher to pick on a child that's still learning and growing. :shame:

To be a teacher you have to have Patience, tolarance, and the strenght to look over the things your students may do. Not get on the internet and talk about the kids you teach.

Ok......that's my point!! Why teach then??? Because they care about the students. Students acting up comes with the job. Their young and still learning. For a Teacher to talk about his/her students makes me question their integrity. You know that teaching is underpaid yet you still choose to teach. To top that off you wanna talk about how bad they are. No one made you go into teaching you decided that so deal with whatever is thrown @ you. If you dont like elementary theres alwayz a college course you can teach if you just have to teach.

I've been in the classroom for ten years. The LAST thing I need is someone telling me HOW to run MINE.

You haven't been around here long enough to know ALL I say about my students.

I come here to VENT. I say HERE what I would NEVER say to my students. I welcome the opportunity to call that little boy a DUMB BASTARD here, because what I said to him was nothing stronger than "I'M DISAPPOINTED IN YOU. YOU KNOW BETTER. I EXPECT BETTER. DO YOU KNOW HOW BADLY YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN IT IF I HAD TOUCHED THAT PEN? WHO HAS YOUR BACK WHEN NO ONE ELSE DOES? YOU BROKE MY HEART. :bawling: CALL YA MAMA. NOW, CALL YA DADDY." He was crying just as much by my disappointment in him as he was from calling his parents. He has spent the entire afternoon saying, "I'm sorry, Mrs. Hegwood. I really was only playing," every time he saw me.

I run a tight ship. My kids KNOW I don't play. The little girl to whom I refer is one who got sent away from this school to another one, got in so much trouble over there that she spent TWO MONTHS in the alternative center, then had to be sent back here, because the other intermediate school refused to have her. She's been here TWO WEEKS. The pen she stuck in that boys back had a shock effect (according to the officer) of a low grade STUN GUN. Perhaps you didn't read the part where she brought another little boy to his knees for NO REASON?

I have more patience, tolerance, etc., ad nauseum, for my students than ANYONE ELSE in this building, with the exception of the principal. People send their students in my classroom when THEY can't control them, because they know that in MY classroom, a kid is going to SIT HIS ASS DOWN and DO WHAT HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE DOING.

No one sings the praises of my babies faster than I do, nor is anyone else quicker to take them to task when the fugg up, because that is my JOB, which I both KNOW and PERFORM exceptionally well.

Now, again I say, if you don't want to read what I say about my students, then don't read it. But I'll be damned if you take away my source of immediate venting.

Sorry.

But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! You wanna knock a kid out!!!! How easy for a Teacher to pick on a child that's still learning and growing. :shame:

Whatever. You let one of these big nigras approach you wrong, and see how much you give a dayum about his "learning and growing."

Ain't nothing left for me to say. I'll be ova here waiting until ya'll need some help.----------------------------------> :read:

Pardon my language, but you don't know what the f#ck you are talking about. It is easy to sit back and say what someone should be doing when you have never done yourself. Let me break down the methods you claim should solve these problems:

Parents-We have already determined that many parents are not doing their job, which in turn makes the teacher's job harder. Additionally, many parents are indifferent these days. I have actually heard parents state that if they see the school's number on the caller-ID then they do not answer it. There are parents out there that do care, but calling the parents or even having conferences does not always solve the problem.

Principal-Many principals these days are more like politicians than disciplinarians. In most cases, they are trying to keep incident/suspension numbers down so a lot of things get swept under the rug. As a result, a lot of children that should be suspended end up only getting in-school or something minor. Children that would normally get in-school or sent to detention hall usually just end up getting sent back to class.

Detention-Surely you jest. When I taught, there were several instances where parents called the assistant principal or principal to get their child out of detention.

No recess-Here in Georgia, most school systems do not even have recess to begin with.

Suspension-I can't think of a school system on Earth where a teacher has the power to suspend a child. Once a teacher writes a referral, it is then in the hands of the assistant principal or principal. You may refer to the prior passage marked "Prinicipal" for possible results.

Before you pass judgment on Vinita or any other educator out there, I suggest you either a)pass through a classroom or two to see what really goes on or b)shut the f#ck up and go on about your business.

Have a blessed day.

You know what....this started off reasonably.

1st dont ever say to me shut the F*ck up. Plaeboi, you dont know me like that. I know more than you think. As long as im still breathing and hav an opinion dammit imma say what i think and wont give a damn what you all think.

I see you are one that would knock a kid out huh? I tell you this why dont u try that with an adult. I wish a mutha would touch my child that would b all she wrote. you got that plaeboi!!!??

You suppose to be educated and you couldnt come up with a statement with out tryna cus. You couldnt find no other words to express your thought??? I guess not.

I stand by my remarks reguarding teachers, if you have a problem with that then you'll get over it.

:spin: i work for the dept of human services and while nita has their children, i have their ignit arse parents and they have less sense than the children. so, by far we are the most underpaid people :bump: but the difference here is that dem tricks will get hit with whatever is in front of me if "an one of em" gets out of line. we don't live back in the day so u do what u have to, to get what u need done. we'll leave the time-out's to MR. RODGERS HOOD.

As I'm sure you'll get over yours ...

Lawd, what is going on here?

Nita is whoopin arse in the classroom AND on this thread.

Man, I was a good kid, and my teachers NEVER had to call my parents on me. One time, my youngest brother was acting an arse, and they called my granddaddy, who beat his arse like he stole something. I swear I could hear him down the hall.

If ANYONE had been shocked with that pen, the first reaction would be to whoop arse, and ask questions later. Human nature.

I hope that kid gets his bad arse berated to the point where he never wants to use a pen again.

BayouBandit03:

You ALWAYS have a right to an OPINION. However, It's easier SAID than DONE....Being a teacher is harder today, because there are so many rules and proper proceedures to discipline the child. Believe it or not, teachers vent about the kids in their classroom to other teachers and principles ALL the time...They are probably talking about your kid(s) (if you have any) as well.
The situation Vinita mentioned about a kid sticking a pen in someone's back is a SERIOUS issue...It's not like this situation happens everyday...She doesn't come on TSPN to talk about little situations. It's shocking what some of these youngers kids are doing these days...True, kids will always play pranks, but they need to know the limits.

You still haven't said what you would do in this situation....

So I suppose "educated" people don't curse. Well, forgive me for not being pretentious or pompous simply because I have a college degree. By the way, my undergraduate degree is in English, so I could come at you with words you couldn't even pronounce if I felt the need to.

Playboy(that's how educated people spell the word), YOU were the one that set this off by coming in here talking out of the side of your neck to a SWACpager that has been there and back. You may still be a little new around here, so maybe you don't the deal. We all have a right to an opinion and to express, but most adults know how the difference between someone venting and someone that genuinely has issues with their job, home life, or whatever the case may be. This is an internet message board and most of us on here just post about life or may just be passing time at work or school. Maybe you need to think about that the next time you choose to disrespect someone's profession.

Oh, and that little yapping about not smacking an adult, all you need to know is that I am about 220 pounds and I have never had a problem with putting a "plaeboi" on his arse.

Peace out.

Venting and actually committing the act are two different things BayouB.

If more people would take the time to vent instead of acting on emotions, there would be a lot less crime in today's society.

People need an outlet Bayou, and some come here to release that frustration.

Do you actually think she would 'BOBO' a kid unless it was in self-defense?

Sometimes I see misbehaving kids in supermarkets acting up and I want to mold by foot in their tails, but do I actually do it!!

NO...I just turn to my husband and whisper it to him. ;)
