Scores from around the Nation - 11/03/12

Re: Scores From Around The Nation - 11/3/2012

I know. Kansas State could probably put up some major numbers against them.

Kansas State looks good. But I have been fooled before by Bill Synder teams. I remember that team he had with Michael Bishop at Qb who was better than Colin Klein is. They will win the Big 12 but get to the Bowl game and lose. He has had a couple of good teams like this before only to nutt up in the big game. So I am skeptical right now.

Mett is on fire. The scary thing is this LSU team is young.

Mett looks like Tom Brady right now. LSU has some Jrs that probably will head to the NFL if their draft stock goes up. They are set at RB. Actually both of these teams are young.

This game is off the chain. WOW!

Les should have kicked that FG when he went for it on 4th down earlier in the quarter. It was a shorter kick than the one his kicker missed. He gambles too much for me.

smfh With all Les bone headed calls, LSU still should have won.

Game over

I never thought Chavis would have made bad decisions like that. The DB's gave Bama's WR too much cushion.

They are going to roast his azz all week on the web and radio.

The offensive line for LSU finally came around tonight. They played better than I thought they would.

He went to the well a little too often tonight. I am reminded of what a commentator said after a re-broadcast of the Tennessee game where LSU got a second chance to win. He said then that Les Miles won in spite of himself. I wonder what they will say now.

They are going to roast his azz all week on the web and radio.

Truer words have never been spoken. LSU fans are furious and boiling mad right now.

Les put Chavis in that bad position with all those gambling. Both of those 4th down gambles cost him. Had he kicked 2 shorter FGs, the score would have been 23 to 14 instead of 17 to 14. That fake FG early in the game and the one he went for in the 4th quarter left 6 points on the field.

As for Chavis, I don't why all these coaches go in prevent defense mode in situations like this. Allowing for the big plays at the end of the game. LSU must have heard about SU's meltdown today. SMH.

Hey DCG, I saw Corey got a little playing time tonight. Talking about putting in the frying pan. :emlaugh:

Seems like prevent defenses are notorious for "preventing teams from winning."

Yep. And you see it on all levels. Don't know why. It baffles me.

The reason why coaches play soft coverage is to take away the big passing play down the field. DCs don't want to get beat deep. Keep everything in front and make the offense drive down the field and use up clock.

Georgia can put up points. Auburn cant. Their offense is horrible. The defense is too. LOL
expect a blowout

I am really interested in seeing how Texas A&M performs against Alabama defense next week. I'm not sure about what A&M defense will show up though. :emlaugh:

Oh yes I remember that year. USC doesn't have the depth to stop Oregon's offense. You need a physical offense that can really punish Oregon's defense and keep the ball out of their offense's hands to slow them down and give your defense a break.

Yeah next year, look for Florida, LSU, and Bama to be hitting all cylinders.

I don't think A&M is ready for Alabama at Alabama. Depth on defense seems to be an issue with them. Also not enough big uglies on the DLine. They are a year or two away from having a top SEC defense. Their offense will cause Bama some issues but I believe Saban is going to have them ready to roll next week. Simply because he is pissed off about this game tonight.

The interesting game will be LSU vs Ms State next week. I want to see if Les gets the team to bounce back after the loss. Les seem dejected at his press conference.
