Dr. Larry had the same power when he was interim president, so it is not something new at FAMU. Maybe they are cleaning house in order to keep DeSantis from butting in.DeSantis?
I know when ECSU went through their issues, the new president came in and went department by department cleaning house. At that time there was talk of the state taking over ECSU, so it made sense for her to take get rid of any dead weight she could fined. If she could not fire them, then she transfer them to a new job and they either ended up resigning on their own or got fire because they did not want to put in the effort in trying to do their new job.
