Sam Houston State vs North Dakota State on ESPN2 (since ESPN isn't promoting it)





NDSU must have watched the PV tape. They are scoring like PV was against Sam Houston......lol!

Sam Houston does have at least three turnovers.....
 
Sam Houston can't stop the run.....NDSU's running back has 11 carries 160 yards and 3 touchdowns...

Score is 35-3 now.......

255 total yards rushing for NDSU........and they have at least 100 yards passing.

There is still 6 minutes left in the first half.

Said the same thing about Marshall, Appalachian State and Georgia Southern when they all moved up. Nothing from them programs since moving up from FCS

Been saying this for a few years now. At some point, SOMEBODY at NDSU will have to say "we are tired of being a big fish in a small pond" and make them move to the MAC. At least we know they would have a crowd on a Tuesday/Wednedsay night game on ESPN2
 
I think it is time that North Dakota State joins the FBS. More talent and fan support there than some teams currently in FBS

Group of Five FBS is C-USA, Sun Belt, MAC, Mountain West and American
Power Five FBS is SEC, ACC, Pac-12, Big 12 and Big 10.

ND State's best two landing spots would probably be the MAC and the Mountain West

ND State would be the smallest school (enrollment-wise) in the MAC. The MAC is still in a similar geographic footprint as the Missouri Valley and Summit League (all other sports) ...
ND State would be the second-smallest in the Mountain West behind Wyoming ... but the travel in the Mountain West (including going to Hawai'i for football) would wreck their budget.
 
NDSU is just like few D2 HBCUs. They would rather stay D2 in order to win few games against a few lowly FCS HBCUs so they can say they are HBCU world beaters.

There’s no reason for them to jump up...they have National name recognition, they are the flagship school of North Dakota, they aren’t hurting for money, every game they play is televised locally/regionally(a $1.2 million deal with NBC affiliates in North Dakota), and they get to compete for a National Title every season instead of playing in the Potato Bowl or some sh*t(no that isn’t a dig at the Celebration Bowl...strictly referring to lower FBS bowls)

People know who they are, and they’ve already commanded respect across the nation...they really don’t have to move up
