No, you misunderstand. I support Doug, I just question some decisions he's made. But support or not, MB ain't been slapped but once in my life and I gave momma a look that let her know it wasn't appreciated. In fact, I told her that I would rather she whip me but felt disrespected to be slapped ( I was 16 years old). It shocked her (and me) that I commented because I NEVER talked back to moms. She hugged me (now that was a shock) and said "My baby ain't a little boy anymore"...she could tell that I wasn't mad or being disrespectful, but I was past the slapping stage.
 
After listening to Doug speak during the SWAC teleconferences, I think he realized his squad was going to struggle this season before anyone else did. He just doesn't seem tremendously outraged that Grambling hasn't met expectations. It's almost like he saw this coming.

If I was momma, and you were not past whatever stage of thing(s) it was that caused me to have to slapped you would not be past the slapping stage, or broom handle, pan ect....I'm Just Saying!:swink:

I think, for now, he is just being lazy and doesn't want to work. He has made nothing but excuses from the day he walked in house and in one case told a flat out lie to the media about Frank Warren and Cornelius Walker being Melvin Spears recruits.

I think she realized that she overreacted to something that really wasn't true and I had no part of. A case of guilty by association. But it wasn't a threathening look by any means... I love that woman too much for that. We had/have a unique relationship...although I was the youngest child, being the only male I started working outside the home and providing for the family at age 9. At 13, I was driving tractors and irrigating cotton to send my two older sisters to college. Didn't make me "grown" to momma, but I had grown past the getting slapped stage. I think she realized that I had a "you better be glad you're momma" moment.

Hey td1908... If you are reading this, I'm with you Sweetie. Somebody has to call these DouG Haters and set them straight, because you and I know, it's all about that G-thang. IMHO, Grambling really needs to consider giving Doug a lifetime contract.
