Replacing nine offensive starters and headed to B-HAM again....

Damn GR,
You used to like Joubert yourself. I guess that was when he was catching TDs in Jackson in 99. LOL. But to answer your question, Joubert just represents one of the 6 game expereinced WRs we have returning. He is a 4 year starter and he has been a playmaker over those years. He was hurt last year for the majority of the season. But he has always been our move the chain WR. So a healthy Joubert , along with 5th year Sr. Plain, Hayes, Bridges, Ard, Joseph and others will make us deep at the WR spot. No matter what you think about these guys. They all have played in many games and bring that leadership element to the table. That's why Richard will not be pressed to win by himself. He has veteran WRs to help him. Most of which have been wanting Richard to play for the last 2 years. You guys ridicule Richard for the BC game. But one thing is clear about Quincy, he will not force balls. He did not get picked off by GSU like Kent did. So keep underestimating our returning offense. We are not depleted by no means.

STC-60,
I thought you had good sense, but I see you are not all there. Codie Smith isn't even a starter first of all. Secondly if you had been paying attention, you would know that DB is the last concern of SU this year. Codie may not even hardly see the field this year. And who is 31? Just worry about All-SWAC Lenny Williams and then Terrence Arnold. As far as Hayes is concerned, SU is not a one man team and I know you hope he will not play well, but remember the BC is the last game of the year. I think Hayes will be more than ready by then. Just hope GSU will still be in the SWAC race by then. ~snicker~

JR

Dude....will you please stop it. NOBODY ON THIS DAMN BOARD REMOTELY GIVES A DAMN ABOUT REESHARD.

Now all of a sudden, he shoulda been the starter for the past 2 years? hmmmm....how convenient. So you are telling me he was better that Levy and Williams? So when you guys were on this board saying that Levy should be listed as one of the top QBs in the nation because of his completion percentage, you didnt really mean that? You were saying that Reeshard...the 4th stringer would have done better. Funny, I never heard anybody on this board crying for Reeshard to start.

Do you think there is a reason why he never started? Why was he third string? Did he play in Houston last year?

Just face it bruh, this is rebuilding for you guys. Those WRs you mentioned are subpar and you know it. Plus they have no one to get the ball to them. But hey....who am I to judge?

Don't worry about Richard!

All of the quarterbacks during Pete Richardson's reign have Championship rings. Will Kent get one anytime soon? He doesn't have much time since yall say that he will turn pro after this season. Most of you clowns are ridiculing him based on the way he played in one game. The biggest start of his career on National television, against the eventual SWAC champion.

I recall when KINT was the quarterback against SU in the Superdome two years ago when yall won. He wasn't that impressive then, but yall still won. But the kid improved as he got more and more reps. The same will happen for Richard. Our running game will be the cornerstone of our offense, which will allow Richard to pick you apart with his arm and his legs.

I keep telling you: YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT'S ABOUT TO HAPPEN TO YOU!

GR,
I said some of the players liked the way Richard played in practice. I didn't say WE(SU Fans) wanted him to start. Reading is fundamental GR. Some of the WRs is what I was saying. Does that clear it up for you? And forget you and your stupid azz remarks. LOL. For the last time we are not rebuilding. You'll see soon enough. Our QBs have hardly ever cost us the game. Just remember that. Richard did not throw 5 or 6 ints to GSU did he GR? BTW Fisher played in Houston. Richard did not start that game. When Reeshard as you say kicks JSU azz then I will be posting when will you beat this man like you do Kent. LOL. You are a trip GR. Foolish was a song written for you. Please stop. After being wrong for 6 years I would have stopped talking by now.

Gram folks,

Your silence since spring training began and since your spring game is so loud. You have said so much without saying a word. We all know you are garbage on offense and defense and you are going to get taken to the woodshed this year. Missing those LBs and that DL is going to hurt. I think you guys realize that.

Remember when MikeBig use to make up some dubious thread every week about Grambling. He hasnt been doing that since the spring.....and we all know why.

Hymes made a lot of plays with his legs. Remember he use to do that little bootleg play. Can you just see old Refrigerator Eugene trying to run a bootleg?

You guys are in trouble this year. I think you know that you are in for some lumps this year and maybe next. But if you dont think so....well....thats so cute.

GR, slow down wodie and realize Icon Gram is the subject. Your reply reminds of those traditionless Jags searching for hope. Have some pride, Buffalo has a semi-storied tradition. ;)

Let me take you back to 2000 when Icon Gram encountered a similar situation. Do you realize we took a prototype WR and converted him into a two-time champion QB? Showtime Hymes had absolutely zero collegiate experience at QB. We also installed an inexperienced DL by the name of Wille Gray. He had limited, if any, playing time at LSU. Gray finished a second team All-SWAC selection as a sophomore. We installed a LB by the name of Robert Taylor into the starting lineup after sitting out a year due to academic problems. You know the history on this guy. Dukes is another one (no experience). We took a nonexistent running game of 1999, and improved this facet of the game in 2000 (still not impressive, but good enough to win the SWAC). We will run the ball better this year.

Last year, Denmark Reed had little to no experience from 2000, but caught 7 ints earning All-SWAC honors in his first full year of play. I hope you see the trend. You see at Icon Gram, we get the best players because will forever be that shining star of the SWAC. The reserves from the rebuilding SWAC championship year of 2000 can not hold a candle to the reserves for this upcoming season. I still say our recruitng is the best in the state (LSU counted). This class is impressive (the O and D lineman are the bomb -- ya heard me).

Bruce Eugene played more than admirably last year. He will beat Buffalo, and will never lose to SUcks (I am more concerned about the Bamas than SUcks).

We threw for over 2600 yds and ran for about 1900 yds last year. Expect the same, and more importantly remember.......

GSUP

If Grambling does anything this year, I will color Williams as an expert coach destine for greatness, too much forthe SWAC. But kid, it aint gone happen.

JR

You keep falling back on your old line of smack....and thats cool.

You said:
Most of which have been wanting Richard to play for the last 2 years.

To me this means that some folk thought that Reeshard should have started over Levy. I cant read that well, but thats what it sounds like. He didnt start over Levy, he didnt even start over some dude in Houston. Using the powers of deductive reasoning, either he was not better than Levy or his back up, or Richardson was holding him out until this year.

Eventhough the dude that QBd the Houston game couldnt even lead SU to a freakin field goal, Richardson chose to hold his prize QB Reeshard on the sideline. I wonder why? Maybe Richardson knows he sucks. Looking at that performance in the BC, he might be right.

I recall when KINT was the quarterback against SU in the Superdome two years ago when yall won. He wasn't that impressive then, but yall still won. But the kid improved as he got more and more reps. The same will happen for Richard

Dont you ever...EVER...EVER in your life use Kents name in the same sentence with another QB. This is SWAC blasphemy. never compare Kent to any other QB.....EVER :redhot: :redhot:

Kent stands alone as the greatest to play in the SWAC. Consider yourself lucky that he may grace you with his presence this year.

I will accept your apology over here----->

Forgive him SWAC gods...for he know not what he do.

You're right again GR!

You're right man, I wouldn't want my qb to throw 21 interceptions in one year. What did KINT tell Coach Hughes each time he threw one and came back to the sideline? "But Coach, they were wide open!"

Kent will really sho his azz down in Nawlins at the Superdome. Robert (Throw me something Mister) Kint!:lmao:

Kent stands alone as the greatest to play in the SWAC

THat's the biggest lie i've heard ever seen on this board Kent had nothin' on Kennedy when they first each other. Kennedy won both times over Kent. Kent might be the second best but he is not number one because that would be Kennedy

Someone from the Yella Nation mentioned James Vernon giving them an edge on special teams. So you mean that your incoming freshman will have an impact, but all the blue chippers we signed this year and last year will not. You people need to get a grip.
Glad to see you Yellas are so impressed with Dan Kyle (I'm not surprised since he's light-skinned and got "good hair"...but you realize he's not trying to pass, he really is White). Tell Leon and Greg Tarver nice try, but the audit attack didn't work. GSU is alive and doing very well...BTW, how's Tommy Green these days?

GR you're right...I don't get to post as much as I used to. I changed job assignments and no longer have internet access at work. Plus Tax season kept me kinda busy...had to make up for the $50 that you welched on when Denmark Reed pimped your boy Robert Can't for those 5 int's. But rest assured, I will be back to torment the mafia's DK'd azzes before we rape yall in October.

For all of you other clowns out there...remember, it's not the name on the back of the jersey that matters. When you see someone lined up in a Grambling jersey, you can bet your azz that it's your azz!!!

SWAC foes

Buffalo: has not addressed their defense the last two years; talent has declined (does not match up well with Icon Gram)

SUcks: primitive offense, talent. Decent fan base; but not knowledgable (only good thing going, but will resemble the Otis Washington days after 2002 season)

Alabama St: Good coaching staff; makes adjustments during game; does homework before game; progressive over the years, but still not good enough to beat Icon Gram (especially on homecoming)

Alcorn State: Many have high expectations of the Braves (just because of what they return); not convinced about J. Thomas, but like his philosophy (stern coach); got blown out by a sad Buffalo team to end the season. Still losing the recruiting battle in Miss. Can't wait to check them out against Hampton in Sept.

TxSU: not ready; Bruce Eugene had his coming out party against the 3rd coast crew

AAMU: good road test for the G-MEN; plays hard in Huntsville

PV, UAPB tune up games for second half of the season.

The G-MEN have averaged at least 26.1 points per game with Doug "Coach of Year" Williams at the helm. I repeat, with at least 26.1 pts, special teams (the best in the SWAC), and our defense, who in the hell will stop us? We are better off than the 2000 season.

Pay very close to

1. Who leads the series?
2. How many games you won on "NATIONAL TV"?

Come on GStUperTiger you dont believe half of those comments yourself.

The SUperior Athletic Program of the SWAC

And leader of ALL series against SWAC foes are pleased with all of the delusional optimism from the "busters." The SUpreme team of the SWAC and holder of 3 out of the last 5 SWAC football titles will once again dominate all of the 2nd tier teams:

Hambling: You are 1-8; Known to The Nation as "greatmess" headed by duh duh; Everyone knows that you are merely an offspring of your SUperior and have a snowball chance in hell of winning another title anytime soon.

Jsue: Better known as 0-13; The last time you got out of line we took you to the wood shed in two different states and beat you like no other has ever had. Concentrate on the Bama's. Because all of the Buffalo has been coming out since 1996. You are in DK and one big win a season will continue to have you in the also ran class.

JSU will have the best defense in the sWAC this year. And even if we dont, there aint nothing nobody in the SWAC can do about it. All of you guys have sorry QBs, RB, Lines, and WRS. So what the hell do we care that you think our defense is not going to be good.

Especially Gram GSUP...

You are really going to be hurt this year. After you go 0-2 what will you say then. Please dont tell me that you are looking for a winning season from that garbage you put on the field from spring training.

Jrock

Your crap doesnt even deserve a response.

A winning season, and another Birmingham visit or should I post Gramblingham....

Eight to ten wins easy....if we had to play a team after spring, we would have problems. We had problems with snaps, but nothing big time (like in Buffalo's scrimmage). However, when I look on the schedule and see Buffalo, Alcorn, ASU at home, I prop my feet on the desk and schedule my tix to Gramblingham!

We were able to score with Lionel Hayes (true pocket passer) with no O-line. Bruce is much better off, and fortunately for him the likes of Buffalo are still in decay. BTW, SUcks should be cast into SWAC oblivion. SUcks will not be a factor any time soon -- not with the system and recruiting going on in rolling hills of Grambling. This is no smack.

Hey DTown,

When nominations were made for weakest smacker, I was serious when I told you that I didn't vote for you. I submitted a write in vote for JROCK. Your smack is much better than this.

If you think I am lying, ask Fiyah!

I swear to you I am not lying.

Isht like this is just plain ole sorry! :(

G

Man I thought it was just me. Between this dude, that other new Jag guy with the long name, and Dtown, this has to be the sorriets group I have ever seen. How old are these people? This is freaking sad.

So what you fellas trying to say. Ole JR can't hold up the Nation smack either?

Well considering that GSU finally beat SU after continual beatdowns on National TV that cause Eddie to cry and that JSU finally squeaking by the last 2 years after 5 straight losses to SU, I figure you understand that you are no position to smack SU. Well at least GSU went on win the SWAC during SU's hiatus from the throne. What the hell was wrong with JSU? Why couldn't you close deal GR. Your smack is worthles when comes to talking about winning the SWAC. The only thing you can say is we beat SU, but look what happened. No titles in 2000 or 2001. Hell no title since 96. So just shut up and let SU and GSU talk about who's going to win the SWAC. You know the SWAC is just like the NBA. Whoever wins the West will win the SCG. So let us West teams continue our smack talk without you inteferring. When JSU wins another SWAC title we'll talk to you then.

Now SOG you were saying?
