Recruit a 4 or 5 star player

Jacoby just wasn't use to being around "us". Our punter and starting center during that time fit in just fine. Jacoby was private school raised, while our punter(McKinley) and center(California) went to public schools.

How we treated him didn't make it right did it? Also how he became the starter within 2 weeks of the season wasn't right either. The fact of the matter is we can't backstabb each race because of recruits. We do things the right way and right will follow. What if LSU us the Jacoby story to sway away a white recruit from Southern what if? We on this page wouldn't sleep at night.

LSU would use a ton more negative things to try and stop a recruit from seriously considering us or any other HBCU.

Of course. So what I'm saying a famous quote from Christ " so what a man thinks I'm his heart so is he" Proverbs 23:7. If those players don't want to be at my school we don't need them! Southern will be fine. We don't have to hate on another program to get ahead.
 
4-5 star recruits are cool ...don't get me wrong

but I think we should really flip the FCS upside down and start getting the black kids who attend these top 10 fcs schools first then start getting lower tier FBS schools. In alabama we have schools like Troy UAB USA for example...get those kids who choose those schools. Just look how UAB is rebuilding their team with p5 transfers jucos and other regional talent. UAB is also sifting through the state of Florida goldmine picking up players. I'm really following the rebuilding process that's occurring at UAB

Ain't nobody treat Jacoby bad, because he was white. That's the pressures of being SU's QB. Troy Williams send help.

Ok I know the story inside and out. I've talk to former football players on that team trust me it got serious. Did you know Southern almost forfeited 96 season? I bet you didn't know that did you? Smh but I'll remain silent about Southern football team of the past.

Not only that. His OC was WHITE. Last time I checked Mark Orlando was a white guy. LOL. I heard he told Sam and Jacoby they both better get right after the NW State loss. Sam sucked it up and Jacoby quit. If anything he could not handle the pressure when things got hot. He was fine when he had no competition at QB. He walked in and took it from Hayes after Sam George was ineligible that season. (96). Sam came back in 97. Had Sam been eligible. No one would have ever heard of Marcus Jacoby.
 
HMMMM. How to recruit a 4-5 star player. Upgrade your Athletic facilities and have a few bag men who are giving out alot of cash. For Example: if JSU don't have no bag man. you can forget about it.

I knew damn near the entire team. Are you referring to the player only meeting about Jacoby starting over L. "Skeet" Hayes.

What the hell is being a racist to a degree? Either you are or you not, Theres no way to be a in between racist breh lol, all you can do as a black person is say you hate or dislike another race. That's it.
White folks can hate yo black ass and get yo lights cut off in the same breath, and do other things to make yo life a living hell..

Especially now that Ole Miss is headed down the toilet. MSU won't get everybody. LSU doesn't need to travel north of Biloxi & Alabama recruits nationally.

Shiiid, JSU might start out recruiting Mullen if they keep losing LOL

So Bighead come on now. Did you make this thread about recruiting 4 and 5 star recruits? Last I checked hbcu stands for historically BLACK colleges and universities. So why start a thread about this and ask black people(the powerless) how to recruit 4 and 5star recruits? Remember us black people I'm assuming you referring to African Americans have no power. So why according to you ask the powerless?

lol..it got so bad Doc Greggs had the band do a chant to put in a certain QB named JD or John Dixon...that was when the Bluff was rough in terms of expectations

The issue is we're not FBS so even the high level FCS guys we used to get all the time rather take the FBS offer even though it's low and the same as the SWAC in terms of exposure

alot of has changed as props aren't what they used to be and high profile transfers rarely happen like it did in the 90s when one bad mix up at a SEC school or such meant instant SWAC transfer

Now now dez. Lets not squash BH's fire for improvement, man. He's of the notion that we CAN get those 4*/5* student-athletes and I'm right there w/ him. He's got that fire in him and that's the same fire that's been fueling me for well over 25 years now. Unfortunately for me, I've encountered waaaaaaaaaaaay toooooooooooo much infertile ground to plant my seed(s); however, I've planted a LOT of seeds for PVAMU over the decades ;) . I'm not shy about approaching ANY recruited young man - like this freak ***** that's verbal'd to univ of alabama. Nope. No sir. You're not going to come in any gym I open for free-play bball and not hear "the speech." :D
