President Obama, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer Share Tense Tarmac Moment

There is a difference between being "heckled" and having a member of Congress to shout out and call the POTUS a "LIAR!". Furthermore, for someone who thinks votes don't matter, you sure do mention Dr. King a lot in your posts; he marched, was jailed, and died for voter rights for those who had been voter suppressed. He, Malcolm X, Medgar Evers died for this, Rosa Parks went to jail for this, and you think what they sacrificed for doesn't matter?:xeye::xeye:To each his/her own. And lastly, again, this thread is about the aggressive, blatant, downright inexcusable disrespect President Obama continues to receive. I hope no white woman or any person puts her finger in your face while talking to you.

Those people died for the right to vote because they thought it meant something. That produces real, meaningful change. That's not the case these days. The interest of the rich and corportations are more important than those of the voters. it's been like that for some time now. These men and women say one thing and do another or nothing at all. It's nothing for them to lie, cheat and steal or play with the emotions of the masses to get votes and the power which goes along with being in whatever office they are appointed to. They are supposed to be working for us, but they live in expensive houses, have big bank accounts, benefits, and ride around in expensive cars and their kids go to elite private schools. Yet, they call all the shots. It seems like the only voting power we have is for them to tell us how to live our lives, and there isn't much we can do about it. Not until the entire system changes. Not until we saw enough is enough and stop just shuffling the deck between the Dems and the GOP. Real change will only come when we take the power back. When we decide to stop voting for once or demand to vote for things and issues that affect us. Again, I don't care if the president is disrespected. I don't care if any other politician - black or white -- is disrespected. Why? They've done too much shady crap over the years for us to feel sorry for them. That's why I don't trust any of Dem or GOP member. If folks just woke up, studied their history and look at the trends, they would see all of this is just big game. A game where we are being played at every turn. Yet we keep going back for more.

If the President wasn't black this would have never happened......

Oh really?

I guess NBC news reporter Brian Williams was telling Bush something was on his shirt?

I agree that Bush was dis-respected. Especially by the guy who threw a shoe at him. He was dis-respected worst than Obama has been in my personal opinion, from being called dumb to reporters talking to him any kind of way, from late nights shows making fun of him. I am also not foolish enough to see the blatant dis-respect of Obama also. The difference between the two is flat out racism. No one can deny that in anyway

But Cee its ok because he's black . Don't u get it?

He's not allowed to talk about helping the black community because he's black and we aren't allowed to say anything about him being handled like a little black boy because we're black, only white folks can do either.

Droid Rocks!

Cee, EVERY president catches hell...people on focus on it when it's "their" guy. Obama is just gettin his like EVERY other president has. Clinton, Bush, now it's Obama's turn. It comes with the office.

I kind of agree with Mak.. not fully but yeah. Maybe Brewer felt more comfortable doing it because he is a brother. I think politics played a bigger role here. I have chosen to stay out of this one. I am beginning to keep a lot of my political beliefs to myself or I choose to argue with both sides...

I came DC a Liberal and I dayum near almost an Independent now. Very moderate. The Black Liberal establishment has really turned me off. I find myself going to American Enterprise Institute forums and other traditional conservative events.

I don't talk politics very often because I think it's a sham.

Pop it seems like your real issue is that you have allow the right to label you with that broad brush they stroke so well.

Everybody knows that the black community has always been base in principal on conservative values, but to many of us buy into this liberal label crap and as soon as we encounter a group of us that fit the mold we take that brush out their hands and beat ourselves up for them.

I'm an american who happens to be a registered democrat and I refuse to be label. As of this day I have yet to cast a vote for a candidate who isn't a democrat and the ballet goes up I'm flames.

I can support a Colin Powell type candidate, I am a big fan of his. I am not a fan of supply side economics but I am beginning to question whether Keynesian policies work in a globalized world. I am really beginning to look at things from a more fiscally sound perspective also. I get frustrated by extremist on both sides and their inability to compromise.
