Possible ASU Hornet a Transfers

Is Whitlow thinking of joining Hornets? on montgomeryadvertiser.com: http://on.mgmadv.com/1m37r2R

ASU is in the running for Kentucky transfer QB Whitlow and former Missouri WR. Bama St. Usually has the most talent in the SWAC, but has not won a swac championship. Crowell was the number 1 running back in the nation out of high school and they still couldn't win. Barlow is on the hot seat and will pull out all the stops this year, even if he have to commit NCAA violations as he always have. Barlow can not coach and will have Bama St in trouble with the NCAA again. Recruits will be crazy to play for him! #underachieverandcheater

Perhaps Bama State had the most high profile athletes on paper but not necessarily the best across the board (22 players). Remember football is a team sports. I don't know but agree that on paper Bama State has looked liked the best several times. :smh:  :emlaugh:

They load up on transfers every year, have a team that can win the East and never do anything. I do think if they are going to win it, it may be this year with almost everyone returning.

From the very article, you posted

Should Whitlow elect to transfer to Alabama State, he would follow a recent string of players who used Alabama State as a second chance to reach the National Football League, including Oakland Raiders rincluding Oakland Raiders receiver Greg Jenkins (Troy), Seattle Seahawks quarterback Tarvaris Jackson (Arkansas), New York Giants cornerback Michael Coe (Arkansas) and Baltimore Ravens linebacker Nigel Carr (Florida State).
In a few weeks, you can probably add to that list.
:scared:

carry on......

Wow, you really mad, huh

"...But has not won a swac championship."

Wrong!

Wrong?

Alabama State should be the favorite to win the EAST. Let's not forget they loaded up on transfers last year and most of them (if they ever showed up) should still be around. Also, Barlow didn't make major (if any) staff changes this off-season. If they can hold off JSU and avoid some upsets, they should be in Houston.

I agree, but we already have a championship under our belt. On another note, our first 2 games will definitely tell the story. I will be in Huntsville for SHSU, and in Montgomery for Tnsu. If we don't come out of the gate with some offense/momentum, then there's no way we will be able to manage su, jsu, and a&m back to back to back. That schedule, while very competitve, is a nightmare. All i got to say is Barlow better pull some tricks.

I thought the article was referring to Barlow.

"Bama St. Usually has the most talent in the SWAC, but has not won a swac championship. "

I'm not certain, but if that is the case, he or she should probably consider revising the article to make it more consistent. It's not a big deal, however, because Barlow knows what he needs to do. All he has to do now, is do it! Lol. I AM READY FOR SOME SWAC FOOTBALL!

Dude y'all probably won't even be relevant this year.

Just like ya'll have not been relevant to JSU with all them "great transfers".
You do know JSU has been kicking Bamma St behind up and down the field don't you. Since Comegys 1st year at JSU in 2006, JSU is 6-2 against ya'll including the last 2 str8. Bring them all-world transfers on.

But on the "NO SMACK TIP". :lecture:
Are those transfers like Cromwell getting their degrees? That shat will bite you in the azz if they not as we all know.

the last 4 games have been decided in the 4th quarter, all by a TD or less. but if you call that "kicking behind up and down the field" then ok.

As for not being "relevant", ASU finished first or 2nd in the East, the last 4 years, but ok

6-2...............As in response to the earlier post by Sting about JSU not being relavent in 2014.
Bamma St has not been relavent to JSU and that includes the last 2 years your team had all the so-called best recruits.

JSU got 60 players coming back off last years team but we not going to be "relavent" according to some. If anything, because of the disip[line that HJ and the staff is demanding on the field, JSU should be more dangerous this year because the dumb-azz on field screw-ups week after week that our players inflicted on themselves won't be happening like it was with Comegy.

Ain't like the new offensive passing schemes that Chang is installing are that much different than what JSU has run in the past. Just a new way of doing it that don't involve the QB running up the middle every 2 and 3 play on a QB draw.

We'll be quite relevant this year. I think Alcorn might be the team to beat this year, but they always find a way to miss out on the SCG. They need to find a good replacement at RB, and no one is sleeping on them this year, either. We have some injuries at RB and QB, but we have backups that can more than take up the slack. The depth behind them, and depth on the O-Line are my only concerns. Good thing we play in the SWAC, so we have a very good chance of winning it all.

Or all 4 WR's running 20 yards down field on 3 and 4......

True but ya'll were pretty much dominated last year after the first two minutes. That run back on special teams helped you all out a lot and we straight punked ya'll... AT HOME.. in 2012.

:lmao:

Truth is that y'all will have to start a QB that won't have any real game experience, you guys lost almost all of your playmakers from last year, etc. This will be a year of growing pains for JSU
