Police: Charges for JSU players up to grand jury


Boy o Boy, if a fraternity had jump on guy at a party and one of the members of fraternity had got shot and killed at palisades party. "Fraternity would get suspended off yard, and would get heavily talked about badly by the media.

Football players get away with almost anything on campus including palisades. Them Mofos almost jump on me a few times. i was bless by the grace of god

Bongo. Pops you gotta understand most of these folks who go to college need groups to make them feel bad. Notice folks brag on how their organization jumped on so and so. Typical gang mentality.
 
Let me clarify Tweed's statement.

If a group of undergraduate fraternity members jumped someone at a party, that person came back with his homeboy, ended up getting shot by his homeboy during another confrontation with the same said fraternity members, that fraternity would be kicked off the yard and charged with assault.

So you think the entire JSU football team should be kicked off the yard like a fraternity would?

I think the standard should be the standard. If greeks can be arrested, charged, and kicked out of school for hazing activities that happen outside of campus, then why should another organization be exempt? At least the identified members.

If that had been the Library club, the school would have disbanded them.
 
Why do yall believe that the ENTIRE football team should be punished for the acts of a few? It aint they fault someone got shot, its the person that went to get his killers fault.
I dont agree with the coward moves of suspending Fraternities over the alleged acts of a few members. To Fire,Suspend, etc is the coward way of making questionable acts go away.. basicly you blaming 1 group for something it took 2 groups to do

So is your answer YES? How many of those players were FORMER players? How many current players participated?

The STANDARD for athletics teams is not the same as the standard for greek organizations.

Same analagy. I witness it first hand before. i was in the mist of it. the only difference in the situation somebody got killed
 
First of all normally it's the national body that suspends chapters for hazing. As far as for fight off campus I don't know of any cases where the school has suspended a fraternity, on campus yes.

Plenty of cases.. Hazing that happens off campus gets someone kicked off the yard also and yes, there are instances when the school takes action without the national body taking action.

Hazing? Yes. Fighting...I can't recall ever hearing of a Greek org being suspended/kicked off the yard for a fight that took place off campus?


and you are correct...school will take action while National Headquarters of an org decides not to.
 
I have seen the football team whoop a guy on the plaza in broad daylight numerous of times. Nothing was done about it. no suspension, no arrest, no punishment at all. I guess since the football bring in a lil change to the univeristy, the school shouldnt take action

i will not get into details about THAT particular sitauation, really touchy subject.

However, i can tell you that Cletis Gordon, Vincent Dansby, Scott Morris, tried to jump on me one night right by honors dorm.police saw the situation esclade and did absoutley nothing. I was about to get whooped. Luckly my partner from greenwood saw the situation, and pulled out his 380. They backed off and easily walked off. It was about to get ugly for me ".All this happen back around 2005.

I've never heard of it either and if there had not been a fatal shooting most of us would not have heard about this fight.

Fraternity ain't bringing in thousands and thousands of dollars and there would be a riot if anything like this even remotely tried to go down with innocent JSU football players.

a few times. Got into with them at palisades mardi gras party that same year. i started that one though.

The funny thing is, when the situation finally ended like a few weeks later. i asked myself, why in the hell we was trying to fight each other. i didnt know the reason, and they didnt either. we was some young farts. I seen them dudes a few homecomings ago, we shook hands, drank beer and talked about that stuff. LMAO
