Re: Play AD for a day!...Pick your school's perfect football schedule and explain why

What's the current SWAC record vs the Sunbelt conference w/in the last 10 years?

Surely the SWAC is > 51% W-L, eh?

Excuse me while I lol @ some of the unrealistic notions. :emlaugh: Certain SWAC schools cannot win IC yet alone attempt to go OOC vs D-I FBS and think they'd merit a victory. :emlaugh:

SMH.....

Re: Play AD for a day!...Pick your school's perfect football schedule and explain why

The state of Mississippi is why Valley and DSU don't play... as much sense as it makes for DSU to play JSU, it's a no-brainer with only 35-40 minutes seperating those two schools.

Arkansas State is only two hours away and Central Arkansas is close as well. UT-Martin is about 4 hours and the Nashville schools 5 hours. The only FBS schools that I would even consider above Sun Belt schools are MSU, USM and Ole Miss (proximity). Since we probably have to play a money game or two under a 7 game mandate, go with schools within reasonable distance (ASU, USA, Tulane, ULM, ULL, USA, Troy, JSU, etc.)

How is the state stopping DSU and Valley from playing each other?

If we had a 7 game format, Valley should play all D2 schools in home-home series for OOC opponents (ie Delta State, Morehouse, Albany State, Fort Valley). They would still lose but at least that's playing closer to their level.

Re: Play AD for a day!...Pick your school's perfect football schedule and explain why

Would you really want to see your son's team destroy your alma mater for 4 years? lol

I wouldn't!!!!!!!!!!!

TXSo getting beat by point margins of 50,60,70 and 80 points every year will affect team and school morale..

This is the reason that I have a hard time discussing sports with most women. sTu Playing LSU 4 times makes no sense and is basically suicidal. DCG has set women in sports back at least 20 years. :emlaugh:

Ah come on guys for 800K those ninjas better get their black tails on that field and run, jump, and catch the ball like the superstars they strut around camp thinking they are...and we can play the 2nd and 3rd team...just think playing a LSU and UT in the same year man I can see the dough rolling in...besides didn't someone mention something about this been the lazy days of summer and dreaming...Damn a girl can't have a dream

You speak w/ a TON of "ifs." :smh: If this, if that, if beatable, if winnable, if if if. If my aunt had nutts she'd be my uncle. :|

I asked a SIMPLE question:

WHAT

IS

THE

SWAC's

RECORD

VERSUS

THE

SUNBELT

CONFERENCE

OVER

THE

LAST

10

YEARS

OF

RELEVANCY?

Right. ULM sure showed the SWAC how beatable it was. ULL sure did show the SWAC how beatable it was. UALR sure did show the SWAC how beatable it was. Certain SWAC schools cannot win IN-CONFERENCE (IC) yet alone attempting to win OOC (Out-Of-Conference).

Sounds pretty stupid to say that you think your FCS squad could throttle a fully-capable FBS squad when your FCS squad cannot even be competitive across the board @ the FCS level. Trip thing is one doesn't have to go far because Stephen F Austin, Sam Houston St, McNeese St, and others are waiting to put the foot in that azz. First up on the list is sTu vs SHSU. Tell me you THINK sTu has a chance. Got swamp land on the moon to sell ya' if you think it true. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Re: Play AD for a day!...Pick your school's perfect football schedule and explain why

Year one: App State, Famu, and the 9-game mandate

Year two: McNesse State, SC State, and the 9-game mandate

Year three:Tenn State,Georgia Southern ,and the 9-game mandate

Year four:USF, North Dakota State, and the 9-game mandate

I thought APR was an indictment upon sports teams. Little did I know that APR is applicable to "grads" as well. :retard:

I honestly think some of yall just post stuff just to shock value because you are sad if you really... well ain't no believe with people like yourself, a few other JSU posters and one PV poster actually believe what you type :retard:

The state made DSU rotate with the SWAC schools. Why do you think we got first crack at them for a few years then Alcorn then JSU... smh

Dude, the state of Mississippi does not care who Delta State plays. The reason Alcorn and Valley don't play them is because ya'll scared to.

Besides, this is how JSU and DSU played. JSU was having some scheduling issues and I heard about so I e-mailed Braddy and told him the pros of playing DSU, about a week later, he e-mailed me back and thanked me for the suggestion and told me that he had signed them. So I don't know what the heck you talking about with the state intervening. The state has never told JSU to play Delta State.

<b>662</b> hittin' that Joe Montana!!!!! :read: *puff!* *snort!!!* *pass!!!!* lol

He'd have everyone believing that Valley should play ANY SEC team and then commenced to whoopin' the dog shit out of them; that's right, OWN the SEC babey!!!!!! lol And, in the same breath... Valley cannot even win the SWAC w/in the last 10 years football wise, <b>this fall</b> :read:, and I don't gamble but I'd bet a dime to a dollar it won't happen fall 2013 either, unless the other 9 SWAC teams have a lull in recruiting and scholarship offering. :retard:

I think a lot of you all who have computer access to the web post off of sheer ne.groe emotionalism, almost female-like :retard:, and zero semblance of intelligence or comprehension. :smh:

Re: Play AD for a day!...Pick your school's perfect football schedule and explain why

Since 88 is not getting what I am saying and wants so badly to make jokes in an intelligent conversation, I'll try my best to brake it down to where 88 can (If 88 chooses to) understand where I am coming from....

First of all the thread it to Play AD at MY school and to propose a schedule that is MOST beneficial for MY school (SU). And the same for everybody else in accordance to the needs and situation at their respective schools. The things and/or teams and direction for SU may not be the best for PV and visa-versa...

Which is closer to SU...ULL or McNeese? Which would be a more profitable venture for SU...Playing ULL or McNeese?
My answer is ULL, now let me say why I FEEL THAT WAY....

With ULL we are a draw, one that they continue to ask us for...They have offered us deals where we would split the profits down the middle, it is only a 50 minute trip down I-10, 3 buses, an equipment truck, and one post game meal. Simple, Simple, Simple! and when we played them before it was competitive, a coulple of plays either way and the game would have been different. But all in all we came out on the good side of the venture.

With McNeese, there is a total different situation. That is a situation where there would be a Home and Home...One year you would make money, but the other year you would spend money. That's a two hour trip, Buses, Meals, Hotel Rooms, and other expenses. We could win or loose the game/ games and there in lies another situation where your recruiting is up for grabs, where that is not the case when dealing with ULL at this time....That is a chance you don't have to take. Now you tell me what would be the better situation for Southern University and the AD at SU to choose from.

I guess you totally missed the point of the thread, just in an attempt to disagree with me. But anyway If I am thinking like an Athletics Director these are the factors I would have to take into consideration....So make your jokes and smack (on the Sports Board...SMH again) all you will, but I know the nature and logic of my comments and I wish you'd learn to read more into what someone is saying before running off into left field with a response.....

Anyway carry on....

Good luck with that. For someone who I assume is a full 15-20 years older than me you would think they would be bigger than that (not just him but a number of the Lynch Street posters) but I guess not and stoop to that. Sitting on the computer and smacking/downing the other SWAC schools and your own accomplishes NOTHING.

As far as TP and his so-called response, I remember sitting up and not only seeing them mention why the state has DSU playing the SWAC school in a rotation but print as well but like many have said before, trying to have a rational sports convo with some of the JSU posters is like pulling teeth out your own mouth

No, and I actually agree w/ you but I really don't see or have read anything too intelligent through this thread. ULL would be a better venture in terms of <b>cents</b>, but it hardly makes any <b>sense</b> to think one could go toe-to-toe and *quote* "winnable-win-beatable" *unquote* w/ a fully-capable FBS squad and think you'd win, when you cannot win in the ONLY FCS conference that competitively from top to bottom is considered a "bottom-dweller" amongst ALL FCS conferences. Correct me when I'm wrong. And you're right, ULL is a better deal to go into rather than McNeese State University. The ONLY issue I've pointed out is I have a problem w/ this "winnable" mess some people are throwing around. THAT is where I call bullshit. If the OOCs are so "winnable," why in sans hell can your squad NOT win IC @ a clip above 90+%? The year is 2012, not 1994 or 1995 when some were dominating IC and even OOC. :read:

Sails, also making his first start, rushed for 114 yards as part of the Cajuns' <b>533-yard attack</b>. Sails' 2-yard touchdown with 1:27 left in the second quarter gave Louisiana-Lafayette a 28-12 halftime lead.

FINAL
===========
ULL- 42
SU -19

I'm sure it was a VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY WINNABLE game UB4DEMJAGS. I can tell w/ the final score and like you said earlier.... a failed TD here or there or there or even there by ULL and maybe a stop by SU defense here or there or there, prolly there too.... it would've been a very, very, very, very WINNABLE game. :| I'm sure SU's defense put the leather to ULL's offense and SU's offense put the leather to ULL's defense---> :retard: ( 3rd down conversions by ULL - <b>6-9</b> : how telling, I think that indicates SU's defense was still zydeco'ing outside the stadium w/ the rest of the fans . Good job. )

I'm actually in agreeance w/ you man. It was indeed a VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY WINNABLE game. <b>If</b> football was played for one and only one quarter since SU was leading 12-7 after the 1st quarter.

<b>If....</b> Good ol' <b>if.....</b>. :smh:

You know 88 I could go down that rode about why numbers don't always tell the true story, but why bother....you are so set on being inferior and STAYING THAT WAY until it just ain't no need to waist keystrokes....so you just live it and be it but I hope that people like you don't spread that cancerous attitude to the rest of the PV folk....Hope they continue to strive and have pride in their program and not feel inferior to any other program as you obviously feel that we all are...Wow...Some People...Jeeez!

#1, I'm not <b>"waist"ing</b> keystrokes. lol
#2, where in SANS hell did I say A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G about PV being "inferior?" Find those statements. Did I ghost-type? lol :emlaugh: Maybe it's that imaginary EDI I just sent. :what: :scared: :uhoh: lol
#3, we weren't reared to THINK yet alone BE inferior to anyone for we know what competitivity IS and what it all entails.
#4, the "cancerous" lol attitude wants <b>Prairie View A&M University to DOMINATE in ANY and ALL things</b> considering the # of resources for success, seeing OTHERS HERE who had a plan in place and factually executed it (UNT, UT-SA, TxSt). Being around for the great 90s of SU and witnessing the fiscal/athletic growth, I'm sure you understand what I'm referring to. :read:
