The Clintons are saying, look at how much free shat we gave to Black folks when Bill was in office. Obama is saying, this nation can be empowered with education, particularly the math and science. I get this funny feeling that older Black folks are caught up with listening to people like James Brown.

Who's downing Obama? Folks can't express their opinions without someone accusing them of being a "turncoat" because they choose to form their own opinion? Folks are into Obama primarily because he is Black, plain and simple. That's their right. But it's also my right to say that I need more than just a color to move me to vote. I need someone whose going to meet MY definition of what a President is supposed to stand for.

Sending our troops to die in Iran or Pakistan for billion dollar corporations ain't my definition, so that cancels out quite a few candidates.

Someone asked the question earlier, what have the Clintons done for Black Americans and that was easily answered. Someone also asked what has Obama done for Black Americans, but I've yet to see an answer, other than he's Black. Will someone please step up to the plate and legitimately answer the question and cease with the "copout" name-calling.

What had Bill Clinton done for black's in 1992 to get elected except play the Sax on a Black Man's late night talk show?

Obama has given Black's the oppertunity to truly voice their vision of change instead of someone comming to the church during election time telling them this is what you need to vote for for change.

Can you throw everything Bill has done into a what has the Clintons done? What has she done as Senator vs Obama as Senator? You can't compare Bill with Obama? (Just asking?)

If that's a requirement, then we should really love Bush, who actually appointed Blacks in positions that had real power and authority.

Presidents don't have much influence on the economy. The economic boom, well I should say bubble, of the late 90's was fueled by the private sector and had very little to do with Clinton.

Again, meaningless, and it should matter whether or not it's genuine, anybody can pretend.

6) The vast majority of Black people agreeed with Clintons decisions pertaining to welfare reform, in spite of having a Republican dominated Congress holding him back.

Wrong, welfare reform was a bipartisan effort. Clinton actually vetoed the first two welfare reform bills Congress passed. Most criticism actually came from other Democrats. Interestingly, welfare reform didn't take place until the Republicans gained control of Congress.

9) Black business ownership grew.

This was true across the board for all races. Again, that was mostly fueled by the dot-com bubble. Technically, black home and business ownership all reached their highest levels ever under Bush.

I will say that Clinton actually acknowledged our presence, which is more than we can say about most Republican presidents. But how he deserves any more credit for any of that than say, the Republican-controlled Congress is beyond me.
 
I think Black folx should realize that Hillary and Obama are both in the same party and have the same ideals. Both have worked and beat the streets for equality. If Hillary wins the nomination I will vote for her. And if Obama had not made the stand yesterday on CNN, that he would push amenesty for illegal immigrants and help illegal immigrants to get driver's license,I would have voted for him if he won the nominee.He has some explaining to do on that one. I always say though. you can't judge any canidate from a 30 sec soundbyte from the news. So I will be checking out what he says about that in the debate Thursday night on CNN.

Hillary and Obama loyalties are diveded between husband and wife,Blacks,Latinos and even the Kennedy family. Robert Kennedy Jr. endorsed Hillary Clinton while his uncle and cousin Caroline Kennedy endorsed Obama. In a way this a good thing. It means we as a country have arrived at an intellectual level where some of us can make a choice based on the issues and matters that concerned us.

It should not make any Black person less Black if they supported Hillary or Edwards in the voting booth. That's all of our constitutional right to vote our conscience. And votes should not be coerced by any person or group.

You know really and truly if Obama was White..the things that Hillary said about Obama's record would not even be an issue with Black folx.We would have dismissed as just regular politics and political rhetoric. But since he his Black any comment on Obama's record and comments from ANYONE not alone Hillary would be labled unfairly racists.

Hillary has been involved in African American issues here in Arkansas way before she became first lady of Arkansas and way before Bill had decided to run for the Oval Office in 1992. She was hated(and still is) by many hard core racists rednecks here in Arkansas. She went toe-to-toe with them in the legislature while she was living here in Arkansas. So her passion for equality is genuine.

Actually, he moved soul food to the White House.

You can hardly separate what a President does, from his wife. Clinton clearly supported the policies of her husband. All Presidents wives do that, so for someone to say that Clinton had little to do with President Clinton's policies involving health care, adoption, foster care reform, the selection of more Black people in one cabinet (in KEY positions) than ANY previous President, is beyond laughable. Hillary was more involved with policy than was Vice President Gore. Actually Hillary had more power than Gore.

Under Bill Clinton's administration, more Blacks became millionaires, less Blacks were forced into a life of crime because there were more jobs; fewer Blacks were victims of murder and fewer Blacks were sent overseas to fight in foreign wars.
Hillary Clinton advised her husband on key issues involving Black people. For someone to even hint otherwise is disingenuous and a "reach" to say the least.

Folks, folks, folks, do you REALLY in your heart of hearts think that White Republicans and conservative White Democrats will vote for Obama when push comes to shove. If they do, then so be it, but I'm not holding my breath. I don't trust people that easily when it comes to politics and secrecy.

The RepubliKKKans want to run against Obama. They know he has no chance at winning. That's why the RepubliKKKan candidates are attacking Clinton and she hasn't won nothing yet. At every G.O.P debate they have something negative to say about Clinton. Notice they aren't saying nothing about Obama and Edwards. They are trying their best to write her off.

I just can't see the President of the United States always crying when something goes terribly wrong. A leader has to lead and show the people that they can lead even in adverse situations. Ex-Governor of Louisiana, Kathleen Blanco is a prime example of not knowing how to take charge after the State of Louisiana was hit with a natural disaster. She took the typical role as a woman by waiting on the men folks (George Bush) to take charge. After losing to Obama in Iowa, Hillary prove that she would break under pressure.

Your response still doesn't answer the question, so I'll ask again. If folks are into Obama because he's black, plain and simple, then why did he win in Iowa? Don't get excited over a state that at this point mean's nothing.
The National DNC stripped Florida of it's delegates when them moved their primary up.

HILLARY Clinton was the only DEMO Candidate that broke the "pact" to not campaign in Florida.
The simple, hard, fact's are the dummies at the national Demo Headquarter's left Florida wide open for the REPUB's to grab WITHOUT A FIGHT DOWN THE LINE.

Still feel good about Florida cause I don't for no DEMO.
