What I Live By...
http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2008/07/obama_ludacris_bff.html

As if Barack Obama, presumed Democratic nominee, weren't popular enough with the kids.

A loyal Swamp reader points out that Illinois-born rapper Ludacris has just released a new song about Barack Obama, his favorite politician and maybe Best Friend Forever based on the lyrics.

The Obama campaign said Ludacris should be ashamed of the lyrics, which they called offensive, not only to Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and likely Republican nominee John McCain (R-Ariz.), but also 'all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear.'

A former Clinton aide also quickly got in on the act, calling on Obama to denounce the song.

Among the jewels of wisdom:

On special perks: 'Said I handled his biz and I'm one of his favorite rappers, well give Luda a special pardon if I'm ever in the slammer. Better yet put him in office, make me your vice president.'

On Hillary Clinton: 'Hillary hated on you, so that (expletive) is irrelevant'

On Republicans: McCain don't belong in any chair unless he's paralyzed, Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped

The video is sure to ruffle a few feathers, especially among those who are already trying to paint Obama as little more than a celebrity trying to ride his hype to the White House.

Here are the lyrics...

Lyrics after the jump.

I'm back on it like I just signed my record deal
Yeah the best is here, the Bentley Coup paint is dripping wet, it got sex appeal
Never should have hated
You never should've doubted him
With a slot in the president's iPod Obama shattered 'em

Said I handled his biz and I'm one of his favorite rappers
Well give Luda a special pardon if I'm ever in the slammer
Better yet put him in office, make me your vice president
Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant

Jesse talking slick and apologizing for what?
If you said it then you meant it how you want it have a gut!
And all you other politicians trying to hate on my man,
watch us win a majority vote in every state on my man

You can't stop what's bout to happen, we bout to make history
The first black president is destined and it's meant to be
The threats ain't fazing us, the nooses or the jokes
So get off your ass, black people, it's time to get out and vote!

Paint the White House black and I'm sure that's got 'em terrified
McCain don't belong in any chair unless he's paralyzed
Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped
Ball up all of his speeches and I throw 'em like candy wrap
'cause what you talking I hear nothing even relevant
and you the worst of all 43 presidents

Get out and vote or the end will be near
The world is ready for change because Obama is here!
'cause Obama is here
The world is ready for change because Obama is here!

WOW! Bush is mentally hadicapped.

Obama is probably bobbin his head to it right now while telling his staffers to downplay it at all costs. :lmao:

Man I swear.
Put 1 funny sarcastic song out and he use that as an excuse to prop up another black man as a boogie man.

Luda do more for kid's HIMSELF through schollie's, project's for school, after hour's program's than most of these self-promoting bigtimer's have done in their lifetime.
Hell.
Luda just bought back the "Gaining on ya" movement.
"One day, we will have Chocolate City"

Why won't people like him condem a Sammual L. Jackson about the movies he make.
BLACK SNAKE MOAN anyone.
Why won't these pile on a black man for personal gain mofo's call out the white actor's and musician's for the same thing.
Pam Anderson has a reality show out now that is promoting itself by saying the first scene is everybody naked in the shower.
Has anyone seen "Sin City" staring Jessica Beil?
That shat is sick yet none of these mofo's are interested in KID's seeing that mess.

My bad.
That would be messing with WHITE Hollywood's money and spoiling their fun.
The accepted violence and bad language. :smh:

Same ole same ole.
Obama...................I'm disappointed in you for this. :shame:
You let all of Billary's, McCain's comment's roll off your back but you gotta condem the black man
. :smh:
All these bullshatter's putting ad's out mocking you, you take the high road, but condem the black man. :smh:

Yes he is. This country is facing the biggest deficit ever. trillion dollar one at that. :smh:

I was actually agreeing with the statement about Bush being mentally handicapped.

I listened to the song, and I did not see a problem with it. I'd listen to it again.

He's has hurt the Obama campaign. :smh: He needs to chill until after the election. It takes the Obama campaign off message while McSame is attempting to define Barack as the Boogie man. He already has the Ludacris crowd. He needs white voters to win the election and Ludacris will be used to define Obama my the right and their ilk.

Get out of here with that mess. Look white folks gone be white folks. Luda told the truth. Stop sugar coating it for these white folks. Bush is an idiot. White folks can play stupid all they want and vote for Mccain, but when the depression hits home they dumb azz will be hurt worst than anyone. Blacks been struggling and surviving off of nothing for years. They will find out what it feels like to be broke and out of luck. By the way don't let them fool you. They are hurting just like us. White folks say they hate Bill Clinton, yet he won by land slides. White folks ain't crazy. They just play crazy!!!!!!!

Cee,

It's important that Obama stays on message. This is a distraction and you know it.

LOL, Next time we will see Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Ludacris in a McSame attack ad.

JC, we have to be honest. Those white folks who are worried about every move Obama makes aren't going to vote for him anyway. If they have to justify by what a rapper like Luda says they have made their minds up already to not vote for him.

But it is not those folks who are not going to vote for him anyway you have to worry about - you never had em so its no big thing - it's those undecides that issues like this will sway one way or another. Obama's numbers are stagnant right now while McCain is making small inroads into his leads - while Obama cant "play not to lose" by the same token he has to continue to play middle ground so he does not lose Independants and undecided voters.

Why aint nobody got no complaints about what he said about Jesse Jackson LOL :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I swear you guys need to find a more diverse group of folks to hang around. Look, those folks aren't as crazy as they appear. With this bad economy, and it is going to get worst before November they are only hurting themselves. Whether you guys want to be honset or not you better believe more white folks pockets are hurting and will continue to hurt if they worry about a rap song and Luda. They better be worried about Mccain using Bush policies to drive this country to the brink!!!!

You don't understand politics.

All of these things are used against Obama.

You are funny my friend. One thing I do understand is life. You can't change a leopard?s stripes buddy. It's not going to happen. Maybe in a fake world, but not in this one. I find it funny that white folks say they hate Bill Clinton, yet they voted for him 4 to 1.

Technically, Clinton lost the white vote in both elections. He got elected on the strength of the black and latino vote.
