O’Neill Sanford becomes JSU’s new Director of Bands!

I know SU band director was honored last year and now JSU..

BUT HAVE THEY HONORED GREGGS AND FOSTER ETC,,

Little is praising Sanford, that's what he should do because Meyers & Sanford my zap Little and bring in a friend as Band Director.

Magruder is great , but he too old now
..& he is making too much money where he is!!!! I don't know why its soooo hard Boom, to have successors in place. SU does this too perfection!
 
Little has his dream job, he ain't leaving no time soon. Hollinger ain't leaving either. They both get paid really well and I doubt either of them are giving that up, especially since they are both alumni and love the Boom. They are going to be the ones who keep old traditions in place while adding new traditions. Too many JSU politics in the DOB job for them so they definitely aren't as upset about it as we are.

Magruder is about 60, a year younger than Taylor.
 
Sanford is already old. He be gone,
..hell, in two or three yrs.....the Boom be looking for another director..

Doc. Taylor... Taylor is a damn Boom legend. He was chair over a damn music department.... In his 20's!!! Head director in his 20's before JSU!!!!

Yes...but yall would still have to find another director in 5 or six years...why not use a young guy & build the Boom with them, they be there along time....makes sense!

They know it's politics! I've talked to both of them about it before! Their time will come!

Dude, it's okay to be upset, but don't go crazy now. Alumni have spoken up several times, more than most.
 
Another outstanding guy for Head JSU band director...would be Corey Harris of Rosa Fort School in Mississippi. He is the director there. Corey was a Dowell Taylor student, & has a superior band. He is amazing!!!
 
Corey Harris would make a perfect director also..for the Boom. He was a Dowell Taylor student & he is an amazing & talanted director, & has a outstanding high school band at Rosa Fort in Tunica, Ms. Dude is amazing!
