NEWS FLASH! PER SWAC COMMISH, DUER SHARP.............

Duer Sharpe is running the SWAC like a bogus CHURCH DENOMINATION.

 I personally know people who work, and have worked in the SWAC office Duer Sharpe is the worst...The SWAC is horrible it amazes me at the people who defend this god awful conference...:smh: And some of u are right when it comes to compliance..and the rest are clueless..

When decisions like this come down from the SWAC it's easy to blame Duer, and I've been one of his biggest critics. But to be honest, this is one of those times where if anyone is to blame...it's the NCAA. Say what you will about Duer. Say what you will about the SWAC presidents who voted in favor of this, but NONE of this happens if the NCAA doesn't sign off on it.

I'm just saying...

But why did the SWAC even bother asking what would happen if a banned team won??? The conference already established it's position when it banned JSU and SU from the SCG in 2009. Banned teams can't compete. It's easy to say the NCAA shouldn't hàve gone along. I say the SWAC shouldn't have been asking in the first place. Just a hypocrisy!!!

Here another news flash.... The SWAC isn't the first conference to do this.
And that makes it right??? Lots of things been done before that shouldn't be done again by others. But out of curiosity, what conferences allow this???

And like I told someone else previously, the difference with that situation (which I was NOT in favor of) is that the SCG is a conference sanctioned event. The SWAC didn't need to get "approval" from the NCAA because once the SCG is played, that's it. The season is over. Nobody is going to the playoffs.

The basketball tournament is a different. It is tied into the NCAA tournament. And if the SWAC wanted to send a team to represent the conference in the NCAA tourney, they had to get the approval of the NCAA selection committee. And in this particular case, banned teams still can't compete.

Different Presidents then though Robber. Most are gone from 2009. These got their own rules. Right or wrong. They are not on the hook for what the past COP did in 09.

This is true. In fact, I was told by a source that the SWAC presidents actually started talking about taking this step back in 2013.

That was 2011 not 2009.. sheesh

Still, there have been 3 new presidents added since that time. UAPB, Alcorn and Bama State. When the SWAC ruled against JSU and SU in 2011, Llorens had just gotten to SU. And it appears that he now is one the way out.

Valley has a new President too... when did AAMU get their new President. Alcorn's Prez refused to vote the last time.

And people actually still defend and make excuses for this conference with every breath they take.

Moving on.
