It's not negative. Just wondering why someone would use the word "we" in describing the play of the Lakers--a team that you have never suited up for.

Maybe, because I like the team. I like the fact that "WE" fought back and cut into that 20 point lead. *snicker*
This is going 7 games for sure. Kobe played like the MVP he is and you have to give the Lakers credit for fighting back. But by no means should the Lakers rest on their laurels because Ginobli had a real bad game tonight and the Spurs had a 20-point lead. But this should be a fun series.

I know! Lamar didn't have it tonight but his teammates came through. This shows a lot about the team being down 20 points. I remember when we played Tn State in football and was down by 3 TDs I think and came back to beat them. :tup: :tup: :tup: :tup: :tup: :jump: :jump:

Man the Lakers need to come to play /Friday. You cannot play half azz and come back all the time. Lucky win and I am a true laker fan.

Spurs blew it.......Popp got outcoached....... the team played like they are too old and tired.... Phil will have the Lakers ready on Friday. This was a big loss for San Antonio. David Stern has 3 more games on each side before he gets his matchup of Boston and LA.

Been there done that. One of the lowest rated series ever. I mean I don't think I watched one game of that series and I watch the Finals every year.
Talk about a Sleeper series...David Stern aint going for that ish..

Never doubted the game one bit.:tup: This is how the Lakers have played all year at home and at times on the road. They play sad in the first half, then turn it into a different gear from the middle of the third to the end of the game.
Folks keep underestimating the Lakers TEAM defense. I tried to told yall.

One of the greatest comebacks in NBA history, especially against a good defensive team such as the Spurs.
So you did not watch a NBA Finals series that went 7 games? That was one of the best NBA Finals I've seen since the Bulls-Jazz in 1997 and 1998.
I like watching Pistons-Spurs play because there are no sideshows, drama or anything. It is all about basketball. Each possession is a war and both teams play with passion.
It might not be the glitz of the Lakers and Celtics, but you know when the Pistons and Spurs play, it will be a well-played game.

SUtrp96 what game were you watching. The Spurs got all the calls. I mean they was out there flopping and everything. They were over the back getting all the calls. Ginobli hit the ball out of bounds on one of the last few plays and he got the rock. I mean Lamar was not even close to it. But the Spurs should have won this one cause the Lakers gone close this out 5.

It was boring arse series with no Markee players. All role guys. Now the Lakers play team ball too and are fun to watch when they are on. You act like the Lakers are playing Suns or Dallas ball or something. We play a half court set game and can run on the transition play..
I was about to ask you about your team but I want. I'll keep it Lakers - Spurs.
I don't think the refs played made that much of a difference in this game. The Spurs only have themselves to blame for not closing out the Lakers. You make your own breaks in games.
It's a cop out to blame the refs when you blow a 20-point lead on the road. I really don't like either team, but that's the way I see it.
The Lakers just outplayed the Spurs the final 18 minutes of the game. The Lakers deserved to win.
