HBCU SCREAMING CHAMP 99'
If it ends in 4 or even 5...I wouldn't be surprised...but Stern will be :upset::upset::upset:
Well he shouldn't had the refs to cheat to get LA in the finals then maybe it would be a true Finals....

Man if he cheated for any team to play in the finals it was the Celtics. The Lakers had to go through a stacked Denver, a great Jazz team and the Spurs.
The Celtics beat the Hawks,LOL, the Cavs,One man show and cheated the Pistons. Yes I said it. Rasheed Wallace was not lying on the refs and the BS calls. They force teams to retreat on defense.
See Powe. He got clean looks and drives to the goal because he was getting a foul call on every drive dayum near. Clean blocks being called fouls.
That game was disgraceful. You know what that game remined me of. The Hornets game 7 against the Spurs. Took the Hornets best two players out of the game early in the 3rd and cost themt he series. Don't let you hate not see this mess.
Again, the same can be said for the Lakers/Utah and Lakers/Spurs..
It's silly of you all (not JayRob he's a natural nutt case) to blame that game on free throws... when Cletics missed a BUNCH of them and you all came within 2......2... And you all have the leagues "MVP" who had little to no help at all bring them back within 2.. Didn't have the heart to close the game out....
I don't see you all at all addressing that nor you all are addressing his 2 poor performances.. Nor are you making mention that this same Celtic team shut him down twice in the regular season....
He missed shots in game one and we lost that. But the man came out shooting in the second game and was called for two bogus fouls. The paul peirce screen call was a flop but I'll give them that one. Ray allen was grabbing him. He did show up in the comeback. He got them back in the game when he got the technical foul. The Lakers abandoned the triangle and went to the ball on the side Kobe make plays offense which helped them get back into the game.
He had 30 points ,8 assist,. The man sat most of the fist half. He didn't even argue two of the the calls.
I'm more upset with he and phil than I am the refs and fouls. Phil should have taken a tech or something. He just sat there..
But SUtrp I'm good. I accept loses when both teams play hard and are afforded a level playing field. I can show you games on both sides where the Celtics got to the line more than their opponents so that's irrelivant in the Finals.
That game last night was isht on a stick.
You can't say that elbow call was BS....
Just like you made mention to game 7 of the Spurs/Hornets..
with the early calls on West and CP3... I was pissed the refs made the calls.. but they were legit calls.. so honestly I was more pissed at CP3 because he kept pushing off with his arm in transition when he didn't have too... It was like he was asking to get a call...I was more mad at him...
We both done seen a lot of calls like the first one Kobe got chasing Ray around... Flop or not, when he rammed into Paul P like that, that was an obvious foul.. If I was a Laker fan I would be pissed that Kobe would even put himself in that situation.
You all are acting like it was some made up fouls that they just wrote in the books... those were legit calls.. On the streets Kobe would have gotten his arse beat for using his elbow like that... On the street, Odem would have gotten his arse beat for dayum throwing that ball in PJ Brown's face just to save the ball.....I understand hustle plays.. But Odem had a clear look and could have hit PJ anywhere but in the face area with that ball... We ain't saying nothing about that though.....
Come on now. He was jumping out of bounds. He had a split second to make that play. And Ray Allen aint not saint worhty of saving. He knows all the tricks too.
Is it me or do Lamar Odem look like "Tommy" off of Martin...
You can't complain about the refs or the free-throw attempt difference. If you watch and actually know "Championship Ball" in the Finals....you'd know that the spoils go to the aggressor. LA seemed to've gone back to being soft as he!! in the middle. I thought, by the way they played in the Conf. finals, that maybe they'd gotten past it for the most part. But, Ive been proven wrong early...plus, they're just a step behind offensively and defensively.
I am sticking with my pick...cuz, the Earth is about to flip in LA. Kobe and the rest will be on sum'n different in the Staple Center.
I want to say they'll grab 2 outta 3 in LA...but, the way they've been playing...:xeye: But, I will say game 3 will go to the Lakers...and, depending on how they play, they should be in position to grab another.
Some of you are overreacting in Game 2. Celts DO have holes (which I predicted Pau Gasol would get a better look at...which he did for awhile in the 1st half). The Lakers just gotta stop bullisht'n.
PS- JayRob...:smh:...wth? Where's ol'Beany?
What do you mean? Kobe was the high scorer, in spite of sitting out most of the second quarter with bogused touch fouls. He also had more assists than any player in the game.
No team, I mean NO team can overcome a +28 foul shot discrepancy. I was proud of the boys for coming back though, then the refs stepped in one last time and sealed the deal in favor of the Celtics. Oh well.....there's always tomorrow.
This is only halftime of the series. The Lakers are usually a better second half team anyway. Things gonna change a lil in LA.
The Lakers are as soft as they come.......
The Lakers are as soft as they come.......
The big 3 is playing like crap right now but The Celtics are still in the game. It's not looking good for the Lakers.
Gasol is the softest. Like I said before... He is only better than Kwame in that he has a better J and bugger hands to actually catch the ball.
They are EXTREMELY Euro, which is what the league wanted after Dirk got here.
