If Boston has too many fourth quarter offensive outputs like they did tonight, Los Angeles could very well lead the series. The Celtics were too many times out of control in the fourth.

I expect Odom to play well the next game.

The strange thing is Fisher. I expected better from him. Odom and Gasol have had their hoe cards pulled.......

:lmao:

KG needs to move down into the paint a bit more and torture those two... series over when he gets his azz where he needs to be. Maybe Bill needs to call his azz and have a little chat.

The Celtics have fooled folks people into thinking they're a penetrating team. In actuality, they're not. Garnett is primarily a jump shooter, so is Allen and so is Pierce. Even their main bench players are jump shooters like Posey and PJ Brown. The primary inside players for the Celtics is Perkins, and off the bench, it's Powe, but they can't be relied on to consistently score.

If the Lakers showed a halfway decent showing in the lane on offense and defense by Odom and Gasol, they'll be fine.

Poorly as Pierce played last night and KG... this was below average games for them, they still should have won last night... The desperate ball LA was playing, HOUSE was the man to run the floor for Boston last night... They lost the lead as soon as they took House out for Rondo and they gained the lead as soon as Rondo got hurt and brought in House... House was forcing Kobe to stay on the perimeter and not go in to double or triple KG...

I said before this game, win or loss for the Celtics this will determine who will win this series.... From the poor play last night by 2 of Boston?s big 3, you would have thought they would have lost by more than 6 to any team, shat HAWKS would have blew them out of the water playing like that (FACT BECAUSE THEY DID)...... LA just ain't ready for this Boston team.....

Don't expect KG and Pierce to show up the same way they showed up game 3.. and don't expect KG to miss all them easy dunks....

LA got all of their calls and I do mean every last one of them.. and they still had problems.. this further proves foul call was nothing but an excuse as to why a descent playing Celtic team was clearly busting LA arse in game 2....

But good job to LA for fighting hard the whole game to keep Boston from completely taking their hearts.. but from watching that game we all can see it's just a matter of time before Boston makes it very clear...

BTW,

The Lakers have fooled people into thinking they are ready to win a championship with this ultra soft team.

I stopped reading right there. You really don't know much about basketball.
You think Boston went 66-16 by not driving to the basket? :smh:

In the chess match, Phil Jackson made a "L" of move last night. He played Kobe on Rondo. Rondo is not a good outside shooter; therefore, it allowed Kobe to float on defense for steals and rebounds in the paint. When Doc brought in Eddie House, the Lakers used the Detroit Piston game plan by pressuring Eddie House until he release the ball; thus, taking away valuable seconds off of the 24 second clock.

To offset Phil Jackson's move, Doc has to bring in James Posey or Tony Allen to play the 2 guard or small forward position and put Ray Allen at the point. Ray can run the point or Pierce can be the point forward. Kobe did not have to run through screens last night by guarding Ray Allen; thus, 30 something points (Kobe needs to be tired in the 3rd quarter).

Doc, the next move is on you..........

PS: The double teaming of Powe in the post was a great idea. Powe had difficulty passing out of the double team.

Another PS: Game 4 Boston wins.........

I still say Doc should have kept Rondo out of the game....and kept House in there on the floor....

If KG and Pierce were doing their thing then yeah keep Rondo on the floor.. But with them two playing bad like they did last night, they needed a lil more help on the offensive end.. House was giving them that and making it hard to double up on KG...

He is like Dirk. Sorry but true. He doesn't like to play down there. Pure jump shooter. :smh:

Which is silly because when ever he decides to go to the whole.. he always get's there... When I see that I be like.. "Stay your arse down there"....lol

Yep. Like I said... it just ain't in KG to consistently go to the hole. He ain't wired for it.

I agree with whoever said House might have been a better choice late in the game.

Doc needs to understand that, in the last 6 minutes, he needs to go to his hot man, NOT run the normal offense. Shoulda ran more plays for Allen at the end....

He put house back in and he made the three to cut it to four.

True, but when Rondo went out and House came in... Celtics really had better offense despite KG and PP slump....After seeing that, that should have told Doc House was the better option in this game... I would have to blame Doc for that, don't seem like he paid attention to that are he was being a BAD coach and not playing the chess match-up like he was supposed to and on this "I trust my starter tip".. he should only do that with Perkins outside of the big 3...

How can anyone blame Doc for the loss? Did he go 7-28 from the field? No.

That's just like blaming Phil for Odom, Fisher and Gasol going for a combined 6 for 24.

The Lakers played D last night and Boston didn't benefit from 28 more foul shots.

I didn't say the never went to the basket. I said they're primarily a jump shooting team. Name one starter, other than Perkins who shoots in the paint more than oustide the paint.

Frat...this is Jayrob you talking to!

And where was I wrong? Back up what you're saying and don't just copout by leaving it at "this is Jayrob talking".

By the way, Kobe shut down Pierce and he didn't need any double team to help him like Allen needs or Pierce needs when they're guarding Kobe. Funny how no one mentioned that.

Boston is NOT a fourth quarter team, especially on the road, so why are you guys surprised? They have no one to consistently close out games. Lakers have outscored them in the fourth quarter of games 2 and 3. As a matter of fact, they look scared and confused in those two games.

So does a team go 66-16 by shooting J's MOST of the time?

You can answer that question by answering my earlier question which was, "other than Perkins, name one Boston starter who shoots in the paint more than he shoots outside of the paint."

Boston does have the best defense in the league, so I'm sure that has something to do with their record.

Coaching strategy, that was DOC fault. the players don't decide when they come in and out of the game.. KG and PP was off last night, they are human.. so it's up to the coach to make the adjustments with he stacked bench...

Celtics really had control of the game in the 3rd until he took House out for Rondo. Doc fault for that... We can blame KG for his off night and P.P. for not seeming to take this game as serious, but truth of the matter, better coaching from DOC, Celtics could have won that game..

Your point would be half-way arguable if LA starters were actually coming in the paint more than the Celtics this series...
How ever manytimes Celtic come in the paint with their starters, there are still the best team in the league with a commanding 66 win record... so obviously it something most of the NBA can't contend with including LA who last to the Celtics 4 times out of 5 this entire season...

I agree...........Phil Jackson had a great plan that worked. No blame on Doc.....In a 7 game series when you are playing the same team, it is about the X's and O's. I a Die Heart Celtic Fan, have to give Phil credit. Doc will adjust.

PS: Look for Garnette in the post and House, Posey, and Ray to have easy three point shots.

Another PS: Look for Rondo to attack Kobe by driving to the hoop and dishing off. It you remember, I told you Rondo was the key to our offense.....Good move Phil Jackson. Do you think Phil Jackson is reading my post?
