Dude, shooting 44 percent ain't all that impressive. Some of those games he shot less than 40 percent, but some he shot more than 50 percent. Shooting less than 40 percent is struggling.

And you're looking like a pure hater because you NEVER mentioned Jordan's supporting cast, which was far better than Kobe's. Now TELL ME I'M LYING.

The NBA team Jordan had to face are better than the NBA teams Kobe has to face too jack dumb arse... give it up!!

So true. Pierce told his coach at halftime, "let me guard Kobe". That was all she wrote for Kobe. :smh:

Dude, Pierce had help, especially in the fourth quarter. Even Garnett was guarding Kobe in the clutch. Doc was not going to let Kobe beat him by playing one on one, so he trapped Kobe and forced him to pass most of the time. That's great strategy and it worked.

Yall need to give Doc some credit and quit hatin on the brutha. Yall oughta be ashamed of yourselves.:smh:

The Celtics captain also proved his worth on defence, asking to guard Lakers star Kobe Bryant and holding him to 17 points on 6-of-19 shooting.
"Paul came to me at halftime and said, 'I want to guard Kobe. Let me guard him,"' Rivers said. "I think people will look at his offence, but I thought we won the game because Paul was a tremendous defensive player tonight."

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Dude, Kobe was double and triple teamed last night. What was he supposed to do, shot over three men? Kobe passed the ball out several times to the open shooter and they missed. I guess that was his fault too.

JORDAN did!!!

No one would ever DREAM of THINKING about that when it came to Jordan.. Getting the assignment to gaurd Jordan on national TV was almost worse than signing up for the military... Something JayRob need to do, get his tired arse away from a computer and go on the front line and help fight a war..

Who in the SAM h3ll is hating on DOC lil boy?!?!?:smh:

It is his fault LA didn't get swept though.. Because he would have KEPT Rondo sorry arse out of the game in game 3 and kept House in they may have won that game..

Remember Celtic never had momentum with Rondo thus never having the lead.. soon as Rondo comes out and House comes in .. Celtics takes lead... He brought Rondo back in who was struggling to begin with and now he was playing at 50% on a bad angle.
that was DOC fault.... Glad I didn't take the bet on a SWEEP.. I'll be collecting my money on Cletics winning this easy arse series though..

Doc got smart and took offense liabilty Rondo out House started hitting his shots like we knew he would and presto..."Lights" out for LA....

Doc will have to look at the new adjustments and if LA is still playing some what the same style defence... Take Rondo arse out of the game EARLY, and we will be able to close this thing out on Father's Day!

Dude, what game were you watching? Everytime Kobe even thought about driving to the lane, it clogged up with Celtics. For you or anyone else to claim that Pierce did it alone is just flat out lying.

Pierce LOCKED Kobe down...

I honestly don't buy that he is the best player in the NBA right now.. That is very arguable from watching all this.. and wasn't last year, Lebron was getting this exact same praise..
Bottom line is, it is a good bit of players in the league that can get their teams just as far as Kobe can... that wasn't the case when Jordan OWN the league..

Simple help side defense......You're acting like The Celtics brought out some secret defensive scheme.

As a Lakers fan I didn't just come to it this year. I've been riding with them since I first watch the Lakers and Celtics in the 80's. But how can you guys root for New Orleans so hard and be a Celtics fan. I live in the Memphis Metro Area and I could care less about the Grizzlies or the Titans. You will never see me rooting for them no matter how good they get. Just like the Memphis tigers will never get my love. I had on a JSU T shirt the day of the Championship and Friday when everybody had on Memphis attire.

I'm ride or die. 49ers is my team win or lose.

Just saying Kobe has made you guys so mad and you hold so much ill will toward the guy that you root against his team. He will be back just like the first time he shot all those threes and missed them. He learns from this.

MJ did not win at first either. He had to get over the hump. Kobe will too.

I was hating the lakers long before koME left high school....:lmao:

Dude, that's your business who you choose to bandwagon with. I'm just saying that some of these folks hadn't mentioned the Celtics ONE time before now and want to call themselves Celtic fans.

As for me, win or lose....it's STILL...GO home LAKERS!!!

More like "GO HOME" lakers!!!!.......:lmao:

JR, how many times has Paxson, Kerr or Armstrong hit wide open clutch shots after Jordan passed it off to them? They did it time and time again. Plus they were VETERAN players during the finals. Kobe just doesn't have that luxury right now. But in the last three finals, Jordan clearly struggled, but his teammates bailed him out by hitting clutch game winning shots.

Like I said, the Lakers are young and they're really a year ahead of schedule, but once they get Bynum back, and tweak a couple in things in the lineup, they'll be hell to deal with for sure.

Jordan's teammates never "bailed him out"! What they did was hit wide open shots that were created because of
the defense keying on Mr. Jordan. Also, your schedules have not been accurate this year. Didn't you say,
some time back, that Bynum was ahead of schedule too? The bottom line is, the Celts are better than the fakers!!!!

Well according to Jayrob's definition of struggling, Kobe has struggled in every Finals he's been in, well maybe except against the hapless Nets. Good thing Shaq was around to bail him out.....

*without looking at the last 5 pages or so*

Point blank....all the Jordan v Kobe talk is buried and gone now (except, with JayRob, of course). The ONLY way Kobe could make up for Game 4, is if he brings the Lakers back to win the series, while avg. 50 a game and 5 SportSCenter highlights a game.

Other than that...it's still about that 2-3

So it likewise seems safe to suggest that Bryant, as ring-laden as L.A.'s future would appear with Andrew Bynum due back next season to help Odom and Pau Gasol on the front line, won't be subjected to those nagging Michael Jordan comparisons for a while. With six losses in his past seven Finals games, Kobe is on the brink of a second successive five-game exit in the championship round.

Something you won't find on MJ's r?sum?, for those of you who can't resist the comparison.

Phil needs to go back to the formula that always worked for him... a dominant player and a helper guy. Maybe when Bynum comes back he can become a dominant playe and Kobe can go back to his role of helper like when they had Shaq.

Looks like Kobe is best as the number 2 option...

I really was just messing with JayRob and the Kobe fans... Kobe is a helluva player. I can't blame this one on him...he's trying not to go back to the old "shoot us back into it" player.

The problem is really how Gasol and Odom is being out played in the paint. Those two guys are playing softer than violin music.

I agree. The fact that those two can't seem to stick to what works for them is a shame. Esp, considering they're this close to a ring. Odom was fresh off a halftime interview (you know they don't do that, unless you're shining), and no more than 20 (real) minutes later did nothing. Like he just got dressed for the game at halftime. Most players would see that as sign to keep that isht going for the second half. So, much so, they would've sacrificed a charging call or two, just to keep it going.

It's things like that are the most disturbing. The comeback is just the thick arse homemade, sugar rush, lock-jaw icing on that cake.

The Celtics need to end the series tonight.

It would be nice......I wouldn't be shocked if they lost though. Series is still over though. Lakers aint playing good enough to win 3 in a row....the Celts would have to have a big meltdown in the series to lose it now.

Let's Go Celtics!!

Oh and I meant to say it the other night...Great Anthem Mr. Osbourne...

tonight...not so great Ms. Ashanti
