Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao (So who you got?)

Remember in the Movie, "The Dark Knight Rises" when Bruce Wayne was trying to crawl out of the cave and was continuing to fail. Then he talked to the Prison Doctor who told him, "You do not fear death. You think this makes you strong. It makes you weak."

Mayweather said something in a very recent interview that really caught my attention. He insinuated that his Undefeated Streak does not put food in his children's mouths, only the money. Could Mayweather be too focused on the Earnings than the actual fight itself? I think Floyd does not "Fear" losing his Undefeated Streak very much. Floyd I think is so focused on the money that he doesn"t realize that even with the Homefield Advantage, he has everything to lose boxing wise as it relates to his record. Pacquiao has nothing to lose.

I'm taking Pacquiao to get him by decision.

If it makes it past 8 rounds Floyd is going to beat him on the cards. The only way I see Manny taking this is he has to put Floyd on his back. I really don't see that happening to tell you the truth. Floyd is the perfect example of sometimes the "bad guy" wins. I speak to a lot of people that try to judge him on his character flaws and what they don't like about him. That has nothing to do with his ability to patiently punch a person for twelve rounds and win a boxing match.

Money won't be outweighed by 15-20 pounds on fight night in this one. He's easily bigger than Pacquaio. Money by wide decision or late stoppage.

Smart money's on Floyd by decision. Floyd ain't knocking nobody out.

The more lucrative choice is Manny by split decision. That way the second (and potential third) fight could be set up.

I don't know about that. I am picking Mayweather by TKO 10.

For the first time in a long time, Mayweather is fighting a smaller opponent who has been knocked out before. Mayweather has the size and reach on Pacman.

On thing folks aren't talking about is Pacman's bad habit of raising up in left leg after he throws the straight left. Pacman is a hell of a fighter, but his footwork is being overrated. Pacman's balance is not very good, and he has no defensive skills to avoid body punches.

Manny does have a quick straight left that can send Floyd to the canvas if he lands it, but I just don't see Floyd slipping up in this one. Manny's right hook when opponents lead in is underrated. If Floyd gets caught with either one of those punches, he will not be let off the hook like Zab, Chop-Chop and Mosley did when they stunned him.

All in all, I just think Floyd is too much of a defensive mastermind to lose this fight. I see him sticking and flowing until it's time to clean Manny up. I think Floyd will do some of the same things Clottey was able to do to Manny.

Who says we didn't? What point are you trying to make?

Just was curious if all the talk about it would impact interest in the fight because over the last week, all these stories about Mayweather's past have popped up. As if the press hasn't been aware of it before.

OTL dedicated a show to Mayweather's domestic violence cases. Stephen A. Smith has been getting criticized for not exploring it in-depth with Mayweather. Some have called for the public to boycott the fight.

I find it a little bit off-putting that the press now wants to rehash this when few seemingly cared prior to past fights involving Mayweather.

Like I said, the psychology behind it is fascinating. People have long wanted to see Floyd "get his," and now they think he'll finally face someone who can do it (even if it is an unlikely outcome). Floyd's history of domestic violence makes a nice cover for the real issue.
