I don't know, but I do believe he's an American citizen with dual citizenship. Americans couldn't travel to Indonesia during the time obama was enrolled in an Indonesian school, therefore Obama must have been a citizen of Indonesia.

the only "long form" certificate obama could produce would be a photocopy of the original birth record, which would be an out of the ordinary request to the hawaiian government. and again, why should he do that when he's already produced a legally admissable birth certificate? in any case there's NO WAY the birthers will accept a photocopy, and the hawaiian government isn't about to start sending anyone irreplaceable original documents.

all releasing a copy of the original record would do is unleash mobs of birthers on anyone named on the certificate (if they are still alive), their families, and anyone with a similar name to theirs in hawaii. just like poor janice okubo and chiyome fukino and the hawaiian state health department - they've been deluged with constant calls and slandered all over the web by birthers. even the guy whose birth certificate was used as a template for the fake kenyan one without his knowledge has freepers googling his name and making all kinds of nasty public accusations about his background based on spurious internet research. i don't know if he's been harassed by people calling him but i wouldn't doubt it's happened. these people have no decency whatsoever.

Royal Blue, I see how you ignored the part of my post that referenced John McCain's citizenship. You're pretty good at cherry picking parts of posts to avoid answering a direct question. Where was all this citizenship concern about John McCain during the election?

On Wednesday evening, the U.S. Senate unanimously declared John S. McCain III a "natural-born citizen," eligible to be president of the United States.

The McCain campaign has consulted two leading jurists, Theodore Olsen and Laurence Tribe, on the constitutional issues. Olsen and Tribe were on opposite sides of the 2000 Bush vs Gore Supreme Court case, but they see eye to eye on the question of McCain's eligibility for the presidency. They argue that McCain is a natural born citizen because the United States exercised SOVEREIGNTY over the Panama Canal at the time of his birth on August 29, 1936, he was born on a U.S. military base, and both of his parents were U.S. citizens. i'll take the word of the hawaiian health department over some blog post.

in any case that is a copy of an original birth certificate, as i referenced earlier. there is no standard way to request it from the state, and if you figure out how to do it, they are not going to send you the original copy (obviously), just a photocopy (maybe it'd be notarized, i dunno).

would you accept a photocopy of obama's original birth certificate as evidence? maybe you would, during the approximately 30 seconds before bloggers and freepers start calling it a forgery.

Did you ask for the long form of his birth certificate? Now you're saying the senate can "declare" someone to be a natural born citizen? LOL!! Obama has proven that he's a natural born citizen to the people he needed to prove it to. If it's good enough for them, why isn't it good enough for you?

The purpose of the long form will tell if you've had dual citizenship, where you were born, the age of your parents, the hospital you were born, those who winessed your birth, and etc. It's a very big difference especially when obama refuses to proved 1 $15 copy and present it to the American people.

As for what basis do I have, I'm an American citizen and as an American citizen, I have a right to practice freedom of speech and call out whomever and whenever........that's my basis.

Dude Obama mother was an American citizen. I do not care what anyone says..........dude is an American by birth. He aint move here from some other country. Folks making a big deal out of nothing. I have never seen so much contempt for a man who won the Oval Office fair and square. Even John McCain said to leave it alone. BTW, don't you think Bill and Hiliary would have dug deep to find out this during the run for the Democratic nomination.

The fact is the Republicans who are behind this are some sore arse losers. That is why it will be a long time before one sits in the White House again. I am so sick of you Religious Right mofos. This country was not even founded on some morals. Half of the founding fathers were considered criminals by England. This is a hypocritical society and that's why it is catching up with our arses. Nothing to do with Obama, whether he is the right man for the job as President, nor his policies or what his birthright is. This country was in a mess way before he got in office. Now all of the sudden he going to take the country down..........newsflash...........we were already in the gutter. This is bigger than the President. Your fellow Republicans and some Democrats are all guilty for the condition of the US right now. It shole aint Obama's fault and he aint going to do anything any worse than already has been done. :lecture:

Look, we all have the right to believe what we want because we were born with it as Nationals, but because of all this, this country, and I hate to say it, is the next Roman Empire. If all of this petty division keeps up, you'll see this Superpower crumble.

It's a shame that people (even me at one point) compared/compare this dude to one of the most sadistic people in history (Hitler), when the Oil Baron Administration (who had their hands deep in the planning of 9/11, and made a massive killing when oil prices shot to the moon) ran this nation into the ground, and are considered heroes. Not to mention, singled out Saddam as a diversionary excuse.

I'm not the biggest Obama supporter, because, yes, he is a socialist, but a take-it-off-the-top conservative is much better? Please. I give Obama all the credit in the world for trying, given his position and situation.

In my opinion, we need some real people in politics. We need people that know what real people are going through. Take it from me. I'm from the state where Trent Lott did nothing but back the rich, and Rodger Wicker-chair is doing the same thing along with Barbour. People like that are afraid of overall state growth because of the fact that overall growth includes everyone.

If we can work together, we can do it. If we go on with the divisions that exist now, it'll never get better.

But that's just me.

McCain presented his long form and released his medical records. Obama hasn't even released his medical records......
