I'll say it. LSU is overreacting. If LSU wins big like it did last year, it will not matter what happens at Southern. LSU could be headed for a BCS or other New Year's Day bowl. Or it could be headed to the national championship game. Southern would be headed to the SWAC championship game if it wins the western division.

In other words LSU will get most of the attention in Baton Rouge and the rest of the state. It will get a lot of attention nationally like it has the last few years. ESPN, Fox Sports and CBS will spend more time at the school off of Highland Road and Nicholson Drive. Mathieu could have a Jerry Rice, Willie Totten or Steve McNair type year. LSU will still get a lot of attention. He is a defensive back-not a receiver, running back or quarterback. He may win the Buch Buchanan award but will not win the Heisman. They should not worry about him headed to the school near Scenic Highway and Harding Boulevard.

They need to get over themselves. Then again we are talking about LSU.

Nick Saban had the same policy regarding players transferring to SU in his last years at LSU. I was told it was because Saban felt SU wasn't graduating their players.

That's bullshat. SU former players > LSU black players in Baton Rouge as far as having prominent jobs.

even to SU

Mathieu is too high profile to do so as the same media who can't get answers now from him at LSU will hover over him at SU asking the same questions

Again, this is a business decision...they understand business....we at times don't....you don't give your competition any kind of leg up...in any way if you can help it...and this is what it would be...and attention grabber, a focus diversion...they want all the attention, not some, all....

And for all those who don't think we are LSU's competition for attention in Baton Rouge and the metro area then please really go into your minds and use the logical parts of your brains....attention sways fans, and potential students...and that is what we compete with them for and they with us EVERY DAY!

BS...it was because he understood that SU is a threat to their operation and he wanted to nip that shit in the bud...going to SU and being successful is, has been, and always will be a threat to them in their eye...believe what you want, but that's the real!

Threat how? Man, segregation is over. Even if LSU weren't a perennial top 5 program, SU still wouldn't be able to compare. Please elaborate and tell me how SU could be a threat to LSU?

Oh Really....do honestly not see the business side of this...do you really not understand this situation....Of course they feel they are in competing with SU for students and fans......example.....where in the hell do you think those extra season book holders and seat fillers came from when they added on to their stadium years ago....yea you got it...a lot of them from our fan base...and then some from other near by school's fan bases....oh I guess you thought it was just by chance that their attendance went up and ours went down....their enrollment went up and ours went down....I KNOW you don't think that this was just some freak, accidental chain of events.....if you do then God Bless You...

I know you don't think much of our schools...or not as much of ours as you do of theirs, but let me please inform you we are on their radars....They understand business...they dot their I's and cross their T's.....while we are sleeping and being gullible to the entire situation...No they wouldn't be plotting anything....no not them...no nothing like that.....WOW! SMH!!!!!!!!!!!
